Armadillo Ale Works will give Denton a brewery that’s as unique as the city is. There is already a buzz around town about Armadillo Ale Works and we are confident we will deliver on our vision. In a city where the motto is “North of Ordinary,” we are creating beers that reflect that mindset. We will offer the freshest craft beer available using only the finest ingredients available.
We believe that good things come in small packages: like babies, puppies, and kittens. We believe beer should be no different. By staying small, we’ll be able to devote the time, care, and love to each beer, allowing us to take an artistic approach to our craft.
Who we are:
Yianni Arestis:
I like long walks on the beach, fast cars and.... oh wait, just kidding. Seriously though, I’ve known since a young age I wanted to start my own business, I just had one little problem, I never really knew what kind of business. Luckily my buddy Bobby got me into the craft beer scene and I feel in love with not only the brews but the whole industry. After I brewed a batch with Bobby it was a done deal, I found my calling. Ever since then I’ve been looking forward to opening up our brewery and sharing our passion with the community.
Bobby Mullins:
My love of beer started way back while I was in college at UNT for Radio, Television, and Film. Like most college students, I spent a lot of time drinking beer; but I quickly got bored with the cheap light beers that everyone was drinking. Sure, I was a poor college student, but I had standards! I soon discovered the world of craft beer and it was love at first sip. I brewed my first beer when my brother bought me a homebrew starter kit for Christmas. It was a red ale and it tasted terrible, but I was hooked. After college, I was fortunate enough to land a job as a brewer at Saint Arnold Brewing Company in Houston where I gained some valuable insight to the craft brewing industry. I have always thought that a brewery would be perfect in Denton, so instead of waiting around for someone else to do it, I moved back to open Armadillo Ale Works with Yianni.
