WHAT AMOUNT OF DONATIONS DO WE NEED:

Donations of small amounts from your own friends, if you can't make a large donation, maybe you can get a few friends to make some smaller donations? check out the perks below. Our minimum goal is 2500 but really if we can get to 5,000 the film will really benefit since we are doing a run to B&H for extra gear we could really use in this production.

WHAT ELSE DO WE NEED:

We need people going to burning man this year to life log their experience. Donate 1 dollar and you'll be let into all of our "project updates" and in there you'll get all the instructions on what to do. Even if you aren't going to Burning Man, the life logging tutorial could be a very helpful thing for you in your life and it may even play into the project at some point in some way.

WHAT ELSE:

We actually need a make up artist, beautiful people that will be on the playa, a boom pole operator and 4 more on camera subjects with acting experience. Donate at least a dollar and you'll also see the project update with a full break down along with the contact instructions.

ANYTHING ELSE:

Transporation and camping support. We are still in need of a few more camping materials and a van to go from San Francisco to Burning Man and back. We have licensed drivers and can pay to have the van detailed upon it's return.

We also need art cars that will be on the playa and art car drivers. Send a message for leads on that.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

There is beauty in the creation and there is beauty in the destruction. Every year a city is born and every year a city dies. It's called Black Rock City, the 3rd Largest city in Nevada for the one week that it exist and when it's done it's burned to the ground and cleaned up so there is nothing left but open desert. And this seems to be how life works. Every love that is formed is lost. Every person that lives, dies. The most enlightened thing you can do is experience every moment of life as it's happening. Enjoy the roller coaster ride of a new beautiful connection and enjoy just as much the destruction as the sorrow pulses through your veins. From each death is an explosion of possibilities that reminds you that this is your beautiful life.

PROJECT CONCEPT:

A film that follows 4 peoples real experiences of burning man 2008 but shot at burning man 2009 to be able to best articulate the emotional ride of their story-lines.

Putting real life into film, podcasting to extend the narrative, captivating social network audiences, Google mapping the audience demand for a theatrical release and digitally distributing to millions of internet viewers around the world. The pioneering efforts of Arin Crumley haven’t gone un-noticed as Indiewire, MovieMaker, The Wall Street Journal, The Spirit Awards, The Sundance Channel, IFC TV, & many others have jumped into the echo chamber further demonstrating all that new media has to offer.

Today The Wall Street Journal lists Arin among the top 20 new media moguls, and applauds the co-creation of the popular independent film and online video series, Four Eyed Monsters. The film won the Sundance Channel Audience Award and was nominated for two spirit awards. Millions of viewers have engaged across multiple mediums with the project from podcasting, to MySpace to YouTube, facebook & twitter. The community around the film has participated in DIY theatrical screenings around the world and the audience has created material that has been put back into the project. The phenomena of Four Eyed Monsters has also attracted deals to air the film on IFC TV and the Super Channel as well as other foreign distribution interest.

Continuing his exploration into new media Arin also co-founder a research and development project called From Here to Awesome which has been uniting filmmakers to create the future models of collaboration, funding, production and distribution. All of this has lead to the development of many new films including one that was just shot out in the desert at burning man and is set for release in 2010.
