We've launched an exciting new project of our own! Introducing the Kickstarter app for iPhone!

I remain very excited for you and this project, and encourage you to resubmit. I will definitely be on-board again if you do! Perhaps stealing a few tricks from such massively successful KickStarter campaigns as Steve Jackson's OGRE, CoolMiniOrNOt's ZOMBICIDE, and Greenbrier Games' ZPOCALYPSE would be advisable. Good luck, and please keep in touch.

I was so excited about this project - it's such a great idea... Don't give up on making your idea a reality Ari :) I hope to be a customer of Etcher in the future!

My only suggestion is to use more social media. The Etcher site should post the video, get likes, answer questions, and most importantly, have a link to this site. I posted this site a few times and know that 2 of my friends became backers.
      Good luck.

Thank you for your encouragement and support guys! I'm still going through the Kubler Ross stages about this campaign. Denial ("it's going to happen yet!"), anger ("how come /this/ project is not getting funded"), bargaining ("it's going to happen if only I can get a little more media exposure, it can happen if only I can get more people to tweet about Etcher, it can happen if only I can tweak the price!"), resignation ("it's not happening") and acceptance ("this is how it is").

I want to put a little bit of distance between me and this campaign before I decide what I do with it next.

Thank you to all who pledge to pledge if I resubmit. I want this one to sink in first, then see what, if anything, I can do to make this product more fundable.

Same here.... If you resubmit this, I'll be back. Use social media more. There are only 64 people that 'Like' it on Facebook.....

If funding does not happen this time, don't get discouraged. It can be resubmitted, and, if you do, make sure you let all of us know, as we (well, at least I) will back again!

Funding, I hope it reaches funding. I don't proof read till after I submit it.

This is licensed and tested by apple under the made for iPhone program. That guarantees quality and full compatibility.

Just a few days left. Tweet and Facebook this. Maybe it's too niche or novelty but I think it's a really cool idea. And $60 isn't really that bad when you consider the cost of other iPad covers out there.

    12. Mad-jax-avatar.small

Creator Jackson Whelan on May 30, 2012

Everyone I've shared this with has balked at the price and commented "for $45 - sure, but $60 is just too much". I'd love to see this succeed, but I think the lack of lower price points is hurting you. I guess there's some mental barrier at $50...

Everyone, it won't happen unless we tweet and Facebook this.

      Needs some more love.

I think this idea is great!! Also will make a great gift! Pass on the word!

I am very surprised that this idea has not generated more interest from backers. It combines an iPad case with a "toy" that has added functionality. Add to that the fact that the cost is pretty reasonable.

I am curious what is keeping people from backing this project. Thoughts?

I don't have an iPad yet either Mark...! I've been wanting one so this is a good reason to get off that fence, right?

Creator Scott Johnson on May 10, 2012

I see this as a clever anti-theft device. I can leave my iPad sitting around in the open. Who's going to steal an Etch-A-Sketch?

    19. Missing_small

Creator Rizalin Antonio on May 10, 2012

I was amused with just the protective cover and having the app- people would actually think it was a technologically advanced version of an Etch A Sketch...lol I upgraded to the iPad 2 earlier this year and the cover went along with the iPad when it was given to my daughter. I was going to get another one for the iPad 2, but since there is this, I am definitely going to wait =)
