Update #19: Watch your mailbox for 'Delta Green: Through a Glass, Darkly'

Posted on December 19

Thank you for supporting Delta Green: Through a Glass, Darkly!

All unautographed copies have shipped to supporters worldwide and most have reached their destination already. Some copies being sent outside the U.S. are taking longer to arrive than we'd like, thanks to the vagaries of international shipping services, but we're hearing from fans around the world who have gotten the book. If you are still waiting, your book ought to arrive soon. If you are inside the U.S. and still waiting, please email shane.ivey@gmail.com so we can double check its status.

Author Dennis Detwiller is slowly working through the autographed copies. All have been signed and most have been shipped, but he still has a few to mail out as time allows.

Thanks again for your support ofThrough a Glass, Darkly. We look forward to making more announcements soon of great new books from Arc Dream Publishing.

Update #18: Now shipping: 'Delta Green: Through a Glass, Darkly'

Posted on November 1

I am very excited to announce that the hardcover edition of Dennis Detwiller's new novel "Delta Green: Through a Glass, Darkly" is now shipping!

A large number of books are being shipped so it will take a week or two to process them all. And it will take a little longer to reach customers outside the U.S., and for the autographed copies to reach Dennis and then ship out again with his signature.

But starting this week or next week we should start seeing the book reach supporters' hands.

Thank you for your support of Delta Green. We'll have more exciting announcements very soon.

Any word on the status of the signed copies?

Dennis is signing and packing the autographed copies now. He had a bit of a delay in getting sick the week before last but I understand he's better now and is autographing away.

Shipping notices: The warehouse is *supposed* to send a shipping notice and tracking number with each delivery, but often they don't so it's likely for the book to arrive before notice of it. If you were not waiting on an autographed copy, yours probably should have arrived by now. If it has not, please email shane.ivey@gmail.com and I'll investigate.

Update #17: Heading to the warehouse!

Posted on October 17

The printer expects to ship the hardcover printing of Delta Green: Through a Glass, Darkly to our U.S. warehouse on Wednesday, October 19.

It will take a few days to reach the warehouse, then another few days to be processed. Then we'll start shipping copies to the U.K. warehouse for overseas orders, to Dennis for autographing copies for our top supporters, and to you.

Thanks again for your support of Delta Green: Through a Glass, Darkly!

Update #15: The hardcover ETA

Posted on September 22

The printer for the limited hardcover edition of Delta Green: Through a Glass, Darkly estimates it will ship to our warehouse on October 14.

After that it will take a few days to reach the warehouse, then a few days to be processed, so I expect it to start shipping to U.S. backers in the last week of October (Happy Halloween!) and to backers outside the U.S. a couple of weeks after that.

After it's been shipped to all backers, we'll make it available for sale to everybody else in hardback and paperback. That ought to be mid to late November.

Thanks again for your support of Delta Green: Through a Glass, Darkly!

How much will autographing the books delay shipping?

Good question! Those will go to Dennis first for signing and reshipping, so that will add a couple of weeks.

Update #14: Digital updates and physical printing

Posted on September 19

A quick update on Delta Green: Through a Glass Darkly.

I have updated the digital files with several minor corrections, so visit the DropBox folder and get the most recent version.

If you backed the project and have not gotten the DropBox link, please email shane.ivey@gmail.com and I'll hook you up.

The hardback is at the printer now. I will let you know when we have an ETA on it, but it ought to be pretty soon. I approved proofs for it last week and they looked great.

Thanks again for supporting Delta Green: Through a Glass, Darkly!

Update #12: Now downloading!

Posted on September 5

We have sent the digital edition of "Delta Green: Through a Glass, Darkly" to its backers. Since the Internet can sometimes be glitchy, give the email 24 hours or so to arrive. If it hasn't reached you by Tuesday morning, September 6, please email shane.ivey@gmail.com.

Thank you for supporting "Delta Green: Through a Glass, Darkly." We hope you like the book. Watch this space for announcements about the print edition, coming soon.

It kind of sucks needing to download dropbox before being able to get my copy. I would have rather waiting for a link on rpgnow or Drivethru fiction, so I can always download it through my account if I ever need to. Hope you will make it available through people's accounts there as well

I think you can visit the dropbox folder via the web without downloading anything.

But in any event, send me an email and I will email you the file.

Update #11: Coming Sept. 5: "Through a Glass, Darkly"

Posted on September 3

Monday, September 5, 2011, we will publish the electronic edition of "Delta Green: Through a Glass, Darkly."

That day we also will send it to the presses for its hardcover edition, which should appear a few weeks later depending on the vagaries of the printing process.

The third free story from the next collection, "Delta Green: Failed Anatomies," will appear the same day or possibly the day before.

Thank you for supporting this project! We hope you enjoy the result.

Update #10: Back on track

Update #9: 'Through a Glass, Darkly' update

Posted on July 29, 2011

Just a quick update: We're still plugging away at Delta Green: Through a Glass, Darkly, but production was interrupted by GenCon, the year's biggest game convention, so things slipped a bit. I expect to send the ebook version out to backers in about two weeks and the hardcover a few weeks after that. Thanks again for your support!

Now what?

Here's a rough timeline of what happens next -- specifically, when you can expect to read the book.

July 25: Arc Dream sends the Through a Glass, Darkly ePub to Kickstarter backers and submits it to ePub sale sites (Kindle, iTunes, etc.), and sends the hardcover to press.

August 22: Through a Glass, Darkly hardcover ships to Kickstarter backers.

September 5: Through a Glass, Darkly paperback goes on sale (along with any remaining hardcovers).

Thanks again for your support of Delta Green!

Update #6: 'Through a Glass, Darkly' Preview 4

Posted on June 13, 2011

Robot Viking has the latest excerpt from Delta Green: Through a Glass, Darkly.

One hundred and fifteen 10mm rounds were recovered at the scene by the police, including four from two of their own men―the general consensus was that there were more rounds laying about, waiting to be found. One had been located over a quarter mile away in a tree across the highway, reported by a person standing at the bus stop nearby when it hit. An MP5/10SSD in full automatic mode was the main culprit. Silenced, suppressed. Poe had changed nothing about his modus operandi except to upgrade his weaponry. The last time they had clashed, the old man had been humping it with an MP5 in the usual 9mm; Lepus knew because that time, they had pulled slugs from two of his men’s heads.

Poe had been using anti-personnel grenades. He didn’t need a report in the field to know they were M61’s, Vietnam vintage. How could he forget? It was how Lepus had lost his teeth.

A clear picture of Donald Poe, sweaty and crazed, smiling a madman’s smile. A feeling of helplessness, the taste of metal in his mouth.

“You say nothing, Lepus. You say nothing. You say nothing or the birds will be picking you out of the grass for weeks.”

Spread the word! Only six days left to reserve a copy of the hardcover limited edition of Delta Green: Through a Glass, Darkly!
