I got my copies last week and I'm happily scheming ORE fantasy campaigns. Having a PDF version and a print version is handy since I can read the book at home and pick up where I left off with the PDF on my iPhone when I'm out.
Now that I have both the print and the PDF versions though, I notice that the editing/layout errors in the PDF's combat chapter (especially the table on p. 120) have been corrected in the printed book. Would it be possible to get an updated PDF to match the print revision?
At last ! Let's just hope that damn volcano doesn't prevent you from reaching Ireland, I'm eager to get my hands on my copies! :)
Any news on the PDF, or the book?
It looks like I am not the only one waiting for a PDF.
Any idea when are the PDF's are going out?
When are the PDF's going out?
The Enchiridion will have an index and PDF bookmarks.
I forgot to ask this before, but hopefully it's not too late (I know it's technically easy to do if you are using the right software).
Please make it so that the PDF are indexed and bookmarked!
It would make things so much nicer to use!
Eggdropsoup, nope, I gave 30. Which should give a pdf and two books. Arc Dream sent me an email requesting what it is that I should get, stating that Kickstarter didn't actually provide space to allow such things in their closing information section. Which makes me think it wasn't an issue with Arc Dream but rather the automated program that Kickstarter uses.
@Carl P: Did you pledge less than $15?
I didn't even have that listed on my form, it just stated that I will get the free pdf. To be honest, I very much want my two copies as well as the pdf.
I just got the "Arc Dream needs more info" email that links to the address form. Apart from filling in our shipping address, the Kickstarter form has instructions that ask us to "specify how many copies you expect so we can make sure our counts are correct." However, there is no field to specify this.
I too was worried that in the week time we wouldn't have been able to make it to the required amount. But I was proven wrong, people purchased a lot near the end. And I am with eggdropsoup in that it would be interesting to see a graph of backer numbers and pledge totals per day to see the ratio of such things. Anyway, tis awesome. :)
Wow, and me who thought we were never gonna get the last thousand or so in only a week... look at that! Great stuff :D
I was worried for a few days around the 10 day mark! Are ransoms usually more active when they get down to the wire? It would be interesting to see a graph of backers and pledge totals per day.
Congrats to everyone who's made this possible! I was going to say "thank you" since I've been wanting this since it was just a rumour, but really we all win. So, congratulations are more in order.
Here's the bonus files. Enjoy!

So, we're over the mark...SWEETS! Looking forward to following Enchiridion to completion!
Yaaaaay!
Since you asked for it, an idea to improve on the one roll characters section:
I'm pretty sure that it isn't made explicit in the REIGN corebook that one roll characters are equivalent to characters generatet with 85 points. I think it would be helpful to state this somewhere, so that GMs who want to balance one-roll-created characters and point-buy characters don't have to do the math themselves.
Also, I wonder: does the OR character system still work if I add dice? For example, is it possible to take 18 dice and create a 120-point character? Or would that create problems with the one-roll-mechanic? (the probability of matches beyond a width of 5 would increase significantly, so maybe it would be necessary to add width 6 and even 7 for the professions).
Finally: I noticed that you can actually use the OR character creation as an alternative point-buy, template-based system, by simply assigning heights to all 11 dice (e.g. you want to play a veteran sea soldier, so you invest 4 dice for "commander" and two dice for "able seaman", leaving you with five dice for special experiences). Some people might prefer this kind of character creation, because it still gives them complete control, but also provides them with more structure than an completely free point buy system. I think this is also an option that should be mentioned explicitly in the rules. You'd probably just have to add two or three sentences to the "Not so very random" paragraph.
