About this project
My name is Anton Peck, and I would like to tell you a story in pictures. I am a professional designer, a lifelong artist, and my wish is to turn a childhood dream into a reality; something physical that people can enjoy.
GATHER. (a working title) is a story of a robot with very unusual human-like qualities who finds himself rebooted in an unknown location with no memory of where he has been. At his side is a small furry companion that seems dedicated to him completely with an unbreakable bond and a feisty spirit.
Together, they begin a quest to find out not only what lies ahead, but what mysteries shroud the past. Only a short staff with unusual markings can offer them any clues to where they need to go.
The story of Joe and his lost memories will be published in the form of a graphic novel of approximately 100 pages in length. Once production is complete, the novel will be available in both digital download and physical format.
Although this is an art book, at its core this is a story about discovery and friendship. A tale of adventure as two unlikely companions travel through new lands, meeting strange people who can be either generously kind, or heartlessly cruel. About weathering out tough challenges, fending off terrifying creatures, and discovering new things about each other and the places they go.

About the funds
The funds will cover printing costs, outside help to cover parts of
bookmaking I am unfamiliar with, and some expenses when I'm immersed in
Gather and won't be able to freelance.

Yes indeed, it is - both domestic AND international! Once all of the various items are produced, those who made pledges that include physical goods don't have to worry about shipping. I've got you covered, no matter where you live.

For the small print (at the $10 pledge), it will be 8"x10" in size. All others are expected to be about 11"x17" in size. The exact paper type and specific image are still to be determined (but will be nailed down and mentioned here within the next couple of weeks).

GATHER is a book that people of all ages should find no trouble reading. I have no adult-specific material, no references to smoking or drinking, nor are there any adult themes or language.
My only caution is that some of the concepts and lexicon might be a bit heavy for younger children (or people who have a limited reading ability).
