      Hey Jason,
Thanks for the feedback. That's been one of the top requests we've been getting from people. We're listening. We'll post an update soon once we have some decisions nailed down.

I love this idea. I do think you need to create some sort of D-pad because you will add an enormous market in doing so. Not to mention I am sure a plethora of pledges.

Great tools, and anyone who can create more (but better) tools for working on touchscreens is a winner in my book.

      That said, two comments:

      * I'm not an artist, but I'm a gamer and a note taker. I'd love to see package for 2 Classics + 1 Scribe at the $50 price point.

      * I tend to agree with the commenters here about the price point for the 2 Classic package price. Seems too expensive and makes me hesitate to support. At $20 for two, I wouldn't even be writing this note, I would have already pledged :)

I've pledged (and received) a number of Kickstarter created products, and more than anything else, the sense of "getting a good deal for being in early" and getting access to something cool first are two of the emotions that cause me to pledge.

Anyway, good luck, I hope this product gets funded!

Adam - We are listening to all the comments and trying to figure out what options we can provide for our backers like yourself. Its tricky changing the tiers half way through the Kickstarter campaign but we haven't ruled anything out just yet!

Northwestern Driving School - Thanks for your support, highly appreciate it!

I understand that your startup costs are high. Is there any way you could sell one Classic for $15?

    10. Acs.thumb
Anthony Cerra on February 25, 2011

Adam - The reason the cost is so high is because our initial quantity is going to be so low. The tooling cost is pretty insane and divided into a small batch of Classics brings the per piece cost up. We're not actually profitting much on the Classics. We're just excited to get it off the ground.

Peter- Thank you! It means so much to us that you're excited.

$30 is too much for two buttons... and I only need one. I have a Fling and that was 19 bucks but that works in more ways. If you had an option to buy one button for about $12, I would buy that. 2 for $22, 3 for $30. If you lower your prices slightly and let people get the Scribe and the Flow separately, I think that you guys will be a big success.

      Thanks.

Russ, Anthony, I thin this is great! I'm super excited about the flow and scribe. They look super classy and i love writing on my ipad. I have a pogo sketch stylus which works well but feels comically small in my hand. I dont play a lot of games but i wonder how the classic would work as a page turner for the reading apps. Best of luck, I cant wait to get my stuff!

      Hi Preston,

That is a great idea. Anthony and I must have went back/forth on that issue for hours, but we thought that it might create more of a "too-many-choices-I-dont-know-what-to-get" effect. We will definitely reconsider it again after reading your comment!

      Thanks much for your input!
      Russ.

I think you should make an option to buy just the flow or just the scribe.

    15. Acs.thumb
Anthony Cerra on February 24, 2011

      Hey Scott and Sam,

      Totally understandable.

Because the Classics are injection molded our cost varies greatly based on quantity. Before we launched we had to carefully consider the pledge tiers and the total goal amount. If we lowered the price on the Classics then we'd have to increase the total goal amount to cover the cost of the bigger production run. We didn't want to do this because we didn't want to scare people away with too large of a goal. We might have made the wrong call.

Believe it or not, if our project is successful we won't be profiting off of this campaign. Our goal here is to get exposure, get off the ground, and build a brand that people trust and are excited about.

Was going to back it, but $30 for two buttons is way to much. Love my Fling and would love these, but just too pricey.

    17. Images.thumb
Al Calavicci on February 24, 2011

I don't thing getting two Buttons is enough value for $30. Most games require at least 4 directions, plus 1 jump and 1 fire button. And I don't think many people will want to pay $90 for 6 buttons. With all the press you are receiving I would think you would have many more backers, however I think your priced your project to high.

This is pretty awesome, but you've got to be kidding with the shipping to Canada. I bet if you look around, you'll definitely be able to get cheaper options. I mean if shipping a small box all the way to China cost me $8 here in Canada (where shipping rates are outrages btw), I'm sure you can find a better options for us Canadians, as well as other international buyers. Sorry about the mini rant, but I just think we always get the shaft up here when it comes to shipping. Anyways, if the shipping price goes down, I'll definitely support this great project. Best of luck to you.

Great idea - what about a 4 way 'D-pad' that would sort of rock capacitive surfaces over the dpad on many games? Might be tricky to get the size right, but maybe there would be a way to make it adjustable in diameter.
