I wanted to give everyone an update on where we are at with Another Sign, The Musical. First I want to thank everyone who has contributed so far as well as everyone who has volunteered their time to serve on my advisory committee (listed at the end of this email).
We will be posting company logos on the website www.itsanothersign.com of all donors. If your logo isn't up there yet, please email me your logo. My email is mike@cfmedia.net .
We have over 150 backers so far online. We have also had over 20 people contribute by sending in checks totaling close to $3000. Checks are great and will be applied to the production, but if I don't reach the $20,000 on the website, the project won't get funded. We have 16 days left to raise another $8000 online to meet the $20,000 goal. I am very confident that we will get there in that time frame.
Below is a link to a video that was created featuring one of the finalists in the Musicians Against Homelessness competition, J Collins. This song is called "When the Rains Came Down." This represents all of the victims of hurricanes, floods, wildfires, tornadoes and other natural disasters. So many are displaced and become homeless due to these scenarios. We had 6 musicians submit versions of this song. In the musicians against homelessness competition, musicians took the lyrics I provided and came up with the accompanying music. I received so many interesting versions. The songs will be available for download on itunes shortly. Money being raised from the downloads will help organizations in our community.

I will also be mailing out awards to ALL contributors in the next 45 days. I don't have access to anyone's contact info yet, but should in the next 30 days.
We are getting ready to announce our other finalists in the musicians against homelessness competition. If you want more info on that please check our website www.musiciansagainsehomeless.com
We were on first coast Living last week talking about the Artists against Homelessness Competition. (www.artistsagainsthomelessness.com) We will be raffling off artwork at various events to raise money and awareness for the different organizations in Jacksonville. If you know of anyone who is an artist, please send them to this link.

Thanks again for everyone's support. Have a great rest of your week and keep spreading the word. Below is one of the finalists in the Musicians Against Homelessness Competition with the song, Stand Up Kind of Man. In the musical, Taylor is embarrassed when Anne first sees him on the streets. He tries to say that he isn't homeless, just a street musician. Let me know your feedback.
