 A Haunted Reality is an augmented reality game for iOS and Android. It places the user in another dimension, where ghosts and ghouls can walk about freely and help change your perspective on what it really means to be scared, all within the confines of your very own home.

Basic Concept of Augmented Reality:One of our big goals is to really blur the line between the game and reality. When you're walking around your house looking for ghosts, we want you to forget that you're playing a game. One major way we're doing  this is with Augmented Reality. What that means is the camera in your iPhone or iPad can detect certain markers in the real world, which let us map the virtual world to your specific surroundings. You can think of it like a hologram that you view through your iOS device.

We're super excited because we're going to let you play the game right now! Sort of... To give you a more concrete idea of our concept, we've put together a virtual demo you can play right in your browser or download directly to your Mac or PC.

In order for us to make this a reality, we have some basic costs to cover like technology licences and server costs, but our biggest cost is time. 

We don't have a huge team to make this happen, we're just a couple  developers working really hard to make something really great. As long we can cover our basic expenses like food and rent we can keep on working to bring you A Haunted Reality.

Because we're developing this using Augmented Reality, many of the rewards will double as an AR marker that can interact with the game. One of our personal favorites is at the $49 level, which is a Haunted Reality t-shirt that quite literally puts YOU in the game.

If you want to play the game before it's released, you can get beta access for a $99 pledge, but it's limited to the first 50 pledges at that level so it may go quick.

For $249 you get our special "up all night" package - a coffee mug and  pajamas for those nights when A Haunted Reality gets a little too real. And For $666, we will ghostify you and make you a permanent character in the game!

We have a few tips for getting the best experience from the playable demo:

• Wear headphones. This will give you the most immersive experience you can get from our demo.
• Play in the dark. Come on, it's a horror game. You have to.
• Imagine yourself in your own home, in the dark, with only the light on your iOS device.
