born in Maine during a blizzard, annie grew up being able to hear the foghorn warning drifting ships of coastline as she drifted off to sleep. annie is a poet who uses music as her form, and draws more on inspiration than imagination. her music ranges from forward tilting rock, to the sweet coos of the ukulele. she is comfortable on the guitar, ukulele, upright or electric bass, and dabbles in whatever instrument might find itself under her fingers.
she composed her Folk Opera on a whim in Feb/March of 2009 while traveling in the UAE and southern Africa. it combines her love of hyperbole and folk music, and was her first foray into the world of the ukulele.

Yay for busking. I love when people with talent serenade me in the streets.

Beautiful cover. Love the artwork.
Wow, the cover art looks amazing! I can't wait for the album :-)
The sample sounds amazing. I can't wait to share this with my sister. She is a musical fanatic, and she will love this.
Hi Annie - great that all is going so well for you guys. I'm proud to help out in a small way with this project and hope you get a great reaction. Look forward to my download idc.
Glad I found out about this project. Happy to support! Thanks for having a vinyl option. This makes me very happy. Hope to see you around town again soon!
Annie: I'm from Maine too, born in Bangor, lived about 1/2 way between Bangor and Bar Harbor as a child on Green Lake. Wondering now if Brescian below might be related somehow to my family (though same last name doesn't always = related!) Small word sometimes!
you're gonna make it happen, Anne. I just know that the final event will push you over the top, and what a place to celebrate! See you then, and don't worry, I'll stock up on the champagne!

go get 'em - i am so proud of you (those that i know and those that i don't). i applaud your mashup of entrepreneurial fundraising (let's call it "crowdfunding") and community-creating-art-creating-community-creating-art.
now then, let's see if we can't make it rain...
