Hello Everyone, My name is Anthony Hary and I am here to introduce you the world of BRETHREN.

WHAT I AM PLANNING TO DO:

Created originally as a web based digital comic in 2002, BRETHREN has grown and evolved into an entire world of adventure. In the fall of 2009 I was able to release the book BRETHREN: Beginnings in comic book format, thus finally opening the door a little more to this amazing world I am very excited to share with you.

BRETHREN is a world filled with Science Fiction Fantasy Adventure, presented in an all ages Graphic Novel format. A fact that is very important to me to emphasize is that I was raised by a single mother who had to work often; comic books provided me with an outlet, a companionship that is hard to really explain the value of. When I made the choice to pursue creating comics myself I made the commitment that my stories would be accessible for anyone, age 9 to 90. All the while they would maintain a high standard of storytelling and integrity. BRETHREN fulfills this intention completely.

Since producing the introductory book BRETHREN: Beginnings I have been hard at work getting things together for BRETHREN: The Sojourn of Tax & Lotus vol.1 – planned as a three issue mini-series. My hope is to produce the book independently in a Graphic Novel format at up to 80 pages of story, full color cover and interiors. I have already made contacts with printers to handle the physical production of the book. As of now I plan to move forward handling the responsibilities of Writing, Illustrating, Lettering, and now Coloring the project. Sadly this is also why it has taken me as long as it has in my work on the next book, which is why I am teaming up with Kickstarter.com and bringing this project out to you.

BRETHREN follows the story of Tax & Lotus, two complimentary characters on their journey through a familiar but changed land as they strive to deliver a mysterious package for an older man who helped them in a time of need. They are not the only ones interested in the contents of the package. As they traverse the country, evading their pursuers, our two companions have to learn to trust in the only thing they have to help them get to their destination… Each other.

WHAT IS THE MONEY FOR:
My pledge goal is $2500. This amount would allow me the ability to secure the resources I need for the production of the book to help get this project off and running. It will also cover the majority of the cost for an initial printing of the first book. The project was set up to be a 3 issue mini-series, securing the financial resources through this drive will allow me to print the initial run of not just the first issue but will allow me to print as a graphic novel the entire first volume of the story. This also keeps a necessary level of responsibility placed upon myself. ALL of the funds received for this project will be invested in the production of the books themselves. Any carry over from the publishing of BRETHREN vol. 1 will be saved, combined with any profits from the sale of the first book and utilized in the publishing of Volumes 2 and 3. If for some Amazing reason this pledge drive exceeds the goal of $2500, and even gets to say $3000, this would allow an entirely new level of production and distribution.

In teaming with Kickstarter.com my intention is to do just that, Kick start this project to the next level. This story has been my work of passion for over 7 years, and it will be completed. With your help it will not only be able to be completed sooner, but at a level that I would not be able to have accomplished without your help. It will afford me the option to print in full color, at a higher initial print run, which will allow me to have a lower cover price on the book itself, thus making it more accessible for fans of any age. With your pledge I will be able to expand the scope of distribution and sales, helping to potentially make BRETHREN available across the country.
