About this project
My set goal is to show my Spring/Summer 2012 collection at NYC's fashion week this September. I have enjoyed working one-on-one with my clients over the last ten years as a high end order to measure designer. I am now ready to move forward and approach the larger market presenting a ready-to-wear line at Fashion Week. Showing my label, Angelina Mata Atelier, in NYC is a crucial step in reaching this goal as it will allow buyers, producers, fashion editors and the fashion community at large access to my work. The line will consist of expertly constructed pieces made from hand dyed/painted textiles designed exclusively for this collection and will translate into a concise ultramodern look. The money I raise will cover the bare minimum of costs for the production of the show and the garments.
I will be heading to NYC in the next week to scout potential locations, talk to contacts, have a model call, and kickstart the production of the show. I will keep everyone posted as to how things are going as they progress.
Basic costs include: Models, Venue, Printed Materials, Collection Production (garments, jewelry, shoes, handbags), PR, Night of show production (lighting, set design, rentals, etc).
REMINDER: Funding on Kickstarter is always all or nothing. If the project doesn't reach its goal, I won't receive any funds.

Angelina Mata (born, April 1968, Denton, Tx) fashion designer, is well regarded
for her creative interpretation and for her ability to capture her client’s desire to evoke fashion sensibility. Growing up surrounded by fashion and art, Angelina is a self-taught designer. Influences include a lineage of talented hair stylist, artist and musicians. San Antonio native Angelina Mata has two distinct clothing lines -- While focusing on high-end, bespoke garments, both lines ― Angelina Mata Reinvinatge and Angelina Mata Atelier ― continue to evolve each season.
Angelina lives in San Antonio with her three children.
