About this project
The time has finally come for the musical vision of Angel d'Cuba to materialize: 10 original songs and 1 original arrangement in the styles of Timba(modern Cuban salsa), Samba, Soca, Cumbia, Mozambique, and R & B! We have had the fortune to work in one of the best studios in Chicago(Rax Trax!) with some of the best musicians available. The recording part done, and now comes mixing, mastering, graphic design and manufacturing.

Angel d'Cuba grew up in a musical family in Havana, Cuba, where he enjoyed a rich career as a singer and percussionist playing with many groups, including a stint as the lead singer in the cutting-edge group Mezcla. After touring the U.S. with Mezcla Angel decided to move to Chicago, IL in 1998 to pursue his dream of creating his own group, which would combine the soul of Cuban and other Latin musics with the soul of R&B and jazz. During the last 12 years, in addition to playing in some of the best local groups, Angel has indeed built his own group and has recorded 10 of his own compositions on this first CD under his own name.
