About this project
This project aims to raise funds to press 1,000 copies of my debut CD White Dragon; listen at: http://www.reverbnation.com/angelabivins; Watch slideshow at: http://facebook.masher.com/video.jsp?key=d131485e-e74e-a052-3c06-377c5fec&themeID=masher. In addition, with your support, I will film and produce a music video to be posted on YouTube. Lastly, I will plan a CD Release party to officially welcome White Dragon out into the world.
This project will end on November 2nd, 2011 at 5:53pm MDT. No accounts will be charged until the project ends and the goal amount has been reached. If the goal is not met, all pledges will be void and no ones account charged.
Resource allocation: Discmakers has provided me with a quote to press 1,000 digipak CD's with a six page insert for just under $2,000. The CD digipak will include original artwork, photography and lyrics for the 10 songs included on the album. The remaining funds will be used to locally produce the music video, and hold a public CD Release party at a local venue here in Santa Fe.
Additional pledge resources beyond the $4000 pledge goal, will be used to create additional marketing posters and fliers, pay for participation in songwriting competitions, cover the cost of media mailings, and cover travel expenses associated with touring and/or travel for meetings booked with record companies representatives.

Angela Bivins is the ultimate singer-songwriter of today—simultaneously soulful and spunky, alternative and accessible, mysterious and humorous. Always intriguing and never expected, her lyrics and melodies speak to the deepest longings of the heart while enticing the body to dance. Her technical expertise in singing, piano and composition showcases her classical training even as she plays freely with a variety of genres spanning Latin, Celtic, pop and alternative rock. Her first album White Dragon debuts in November 2011, featuring hits like the undeniably catchy pop sounds of Course Correction and the gut-wrenching soul of Heavy the Rain.
A California native, Angela holds a BA in Music from Humboldt State University, where she studied piano, voice, and composition. She currently performs and teaches in her adopted hometown of Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she founded Another Bird of Song, her private music studio, in 2006.
