The Sunday Comics
Hi everyone! I've just returned from a birthday vacation in the Rocky Mountains with my lovely Jessi and I want to announce a brand-new project and a nifty bonus goal for the Don't Panic! Anthology:

All backers at the $15 level or higher will get a free Don't Panic! edition of a crazy new thing I'm building called The Sunday Comics. It's basically a color newspaper comic section full of Don't Panic! strips from next year, so these are the first time anyone will have seen the in print or on the web!
What is The Sunday Comics?
If you love comics and comic books, you might have run across a newspaper comics section.
I've seen a few of these sections lately and sadly these are nothing like the giant, amazing and vibrant broadsheets of yesteryear. I can't imagine any kids running to the breakfast table fighting each other to get a single folded page with a few dozen color strips crammed inside.
I think that should change.
What if you could get a beautiful sunday comic section in your hands, without having to fish through a flimsy newspaper and coupons? What if it was also on your smart phone, on your computer- maybe even your TV!? What if there were comics from all your favorite artists, and a bunch you've never even discovered before?
I'd like to try- I hope to share that joy of comics with all of you, and write a love letter to comics, making us all remember why comics matter!
I've bought thesundaycomics.com and am working on a coffee table book that kinda runs through the history of all the cool comic strips since the Yellow Kid, on through Little Nemo in Sluberland, Flash Gordon, Peanuts, Calvin and Hobbes, Get Fuzzy, Cul de Sac and beyond into webcomics and whatever the future holds.
Who knows, maybe we can bring back the magic that made us all fall in love with comics as kids!
I'll have specs for The Sunday Comics Don't Panic! broadsheet posted soon! I can't wait to share the comics with everyone in a super fun retro way as large as possible! This could be amazing.
