All Books Shipped

The sun has come out in Zürich! A long two weeks of rain during the launch made for some long feeling days. Writing the book was an incredibly fun process and I'm finding the launch to be even more so my speed.
All the books have been shipped, and many of you have them in your hands. Pictures from backers: #1 http://instagr.am/p/L0_dQTnzu2/ and #2 http://instagr.am/p/L1dHCBIcfv/ If you our outside the US, it is going to take a bit longer (South Africa estimated shipping time is July 31st, not a typo). The print version should be on sale on Amazon any moment but I've learned not to hold my breath with them.
I was surprised to find Amazon as the only book retailer that charged authors to deliver the digital version of the book. If you were on your kindle 3g in Thailand or on your MacBook in SF I would be charged ~$2.50 for you to download the book. Madness! Wrote about it on my blog which caused 40k unique visits in a 48 hour period. Something not a lot of people knew about. Great conversation in the comments:

I fixed my compression issue and my Amazon cut is at 64%... which is still low for a digital good in my book (well, not in my book book but in my, well, time for some more coffee).

We received our book today and it rocks! Not only is it well written but Andrew's design sense comes through too, it's a beautiful book!
