It has been a while since our last Monster left the factory and we wanted to send an update. 

No on vinyl, yes that is final.  Don't cut vinyl with a laser cutter kids.  We had a way to do this in a safe way, but we will never match the two again.  Don't do it, for real.  

We were honored to be featured the kickstarter blog twice this month, once for DIY Manufacturing and another for being a MAKE magazine 'best of 2011'  post.  

Plans for making more have been nothing but slow.  We have spent months figuring out a sustainable way to create more Monsters, but doing it right takes a lot of time.  We have looked into 20 alternative ways to cut vinyl and making our own non toxic disks but nothing is happening quickly.  If we find a way, you will find a message from us.

Hello Monster Lovers,

Hope your summer is treating you well!  We are on the home stretch of the project and would like to update everyone that:

1) All of the 45s and individual 33s have shipped at this point. 

2) The only thing left to ship are the 

   a) 5-packs of 33s and 

   b) reprints and for people missing an address.  

Although we would have loved to have these shipped out a while ago some errors in the cutting process slowed us down.  We once thought 'why is nobody doing this' and now have figured it out (aside from the laser and vinyl issues I always thought vinyl was an amazing medium to work with).  There are issues.  

At times, it has been really not fun.  At times, especially when we see backers (& their kids) create a monster, it has been an amazing experience.  

As an aside, your backing of this project has caused me to be an active backer of a lot of other kickstarter projects.  If you see one that needs help (or you, yes you, decide to create some art) please let me know -> andrew@andrewhy.de

Hot off the press in the monster lab we have a Velociraptor.  It is not ripping apart the place yet, nor has it figured out how to work door handles *breathing* *breathing* *breathing.*  

We are making a T-Rex next just in case.  

We have 24 hours left to go on the kickstarter project!
