Update #11: A Face Fixed is Online
Hey Backers & Friends!
This will be the last post about our little film. I'm writing to inform you that A Face Fixed is streaming online for free: A FACE FIXED via No Budge.
If you haven't seen it already, or saw a very early cut (the DVDs, for instance), give it a shot when you have 18 minutes. That's shorter than an episode of Two and a Half Men.
We're all so proud of our film, and we couldn't have done it without you. So again, a million thanks for making it happen.
This is the end! But you can keep up with me through my website: www.andrewdrozpalermo.com and blog www.afacefixed.com.
Cheers,
Andrew Droz Palermo
Update #10: World Premiere & Rewards
A Face Fixed was accepted into the 2011 San Francisco Indie Fest! Specific showtimes haven't been set, but it will be running in early February. Here's to many more!
Also: you should be receiving DVDs and photo prints this week. I hope you enjoy the film, and get ahold of me if you don't get it soon!
Cheers and thanks again!

Update #7: Home Stretch & Trailer
Update #6: Principle Photography Wrapped
We finished shooting late last night on a quiet curvy road - I was in the bed of a truck camera strapped to my shoulder filming the trees flying by overhead. It was a eerily beautiful and dreamlike thing to experience and it was strange to end on a solitary note, but it selfishly made perfect sense. I felt as though I were living in my past imagination, my current surroundings, and the future finished film simultaneously.
Completing a project is often very bittersweet for me, but this final shot felt really right. Ideas and images that I imagined months ago became fully realized with the help of a tremendous cast, crew and you, the backers.
There is still lots more to do on the film ... I'll likely be editing into late May or early June. I'll continue to post here and to the blog as often as I can. Mark your calendars for a summertime screening in Columbia, Missouri once it's finished!
Thanks a million times for making this possible.

Update #5: We Did It!
There were lots of high fives and sighs of relief this week when we found out that we hit the mark. I had a moment after hitting "Launch Project" that I thought that we'd never reach it, and I couldn't be happier to report that I was dead wrong - it's a really great feeling. Thanks again for your support, I really can't wait to show the film.
I'll be contacting everyone in the next few weeks who donated for information on where to send your perks. Some of them will take a bit to make so please be patient with me.
I'll continue posting updates on the Kickstarter update page and the blog about the production of the film. If you haven't checked out either, I highly recommend it, we've been putting a lot of cool stuff (like the new film stills on this update!).
Lastly, fund raising still goes goes on all the way up until the end, so if you know people who have yet to donate, we'd love to have them on board. Every little bit helps.
Cheers all around,
Andrew Droz Palermo

Update #4: Second Weekend Wrapped
We spent the weekend filming in Rich Hill, Missouri. While the weather was a bit a of a problem, but the food, family and farm animals more than made up for it. During down time we huddled around a wood stove, told stories, ate entirely too much (including awesome from-the-tree pecans) and obliterated aluminum cans with firearms, which was a first for a few of us.
Big thanks again to the Droz family for hosting us this weekend, the cast and crew couldn't have been happier to spend the weekend there.
We are coming down to the wire on fundraising ... 16 days to go for the remaining $250. My producer and I have been funding the production on credit in hopes of reaching (or exceeding!) our goal. If we fall short, we don't receive any of donations - Kickstarter is an all or nothing funding situation. Equipment, food and gas really add up quickly and we won't be able to finish this film without financial help.
Please continue to share the Kickstarter page on your Facebook and blogs.
Thanks again for all the support, I really can't thank you enough!

Update #3: First Weekend Wrapped
We wrapped our first 3 days of shooting!
I couldn't be happier or more proud of my cast and crew for the job they've done. It's a really great feeling to see things that I wrote a number of months ago come to life more beautiful and heartbreaking than I imagined. Below are a number of frames that we shot this weekend.
Big thanks again to all of our backers!
Please continue to direct people to this site. We have 30 days remaining to fund the final 30 percent of the film.
Can't wait to share more with you all in the near future.

Update #2: Halfway There!
With 40 days to go in fund raising, I'm happy to report that we are halfway there. The last 50 percent will be the hardest to raise so please share the link to the Kickstarter page or www.afacefixed.com on your Facebooks, Twitters, etc.
Production starts next Friday on a sand barge in the middle of the Missouri river. We'll be filming the whole day and I couldn't be more excited to start shooting in such a big way.
For those that have donated you have access to a private production blog that is listed in the update previous to this one. We've been posting photos of inspiration, new work from me, and once shooting starts we'll begin documenting the process of making the film.
Thanks again for those who've donated and passed the link around! Feel free to e-mail me with any questions.
