Synopsis
“The Sanguinarian”, an independent feature film, is a character study of Christoph, a suicidal vampire. Ambitious. Austere. Hypnotic. Writhing under the weight of a depression that would wrench the very bones of any other.
His journey through the blood law and sexual congress of his surreal world is a sensual ride, filled with stunning visual beauty, haunting music, and powerful lines. Is he destined to be the architect of his own destruction?
We have a completed film, with a dedicated fan base. It has the potential to become the kind of well-known cult classic that film professional and lay public alike re-watch and refer to. We need help getting it out there. Getting it in to festivals. Getting it shown. Yes film festivals are expensive to enter and all funds raised will go directly to help this film get seen!

THE CURSE: In the course of this, we ran into a number of very serious roadblocks, compounded, prolonged and, in some cases, quite tragic. BREAK THE CURSE! (warning - spoilers): We chose that piece of clothing because of the -real- story being told by the film, as revealed in the final shot: the Holocaust. The story serves as a literal and visual metaphor for the terrible seductive power of those who destroyed so many lives. Although the film appears to be about vampires, it is really about the nature of true evil. About real monsters.

Analise Ravella, a nightshade-wolfsbane bloom, burst forth from the Earth Mother on All Hallow’s Eve, and has yet to fully atone for that. Had she lived centuries ago, she would have most assuredly been burned at the stake. She is a decadent aesthete and a diligent intellect, whose tastes run the gamut of the macabre and the vital. Deploring the mundane for the significant, rejecting the mediocre for the extraordinary, she embraces a ravenous, know-no-limits approach to life itself. All of it informed by a dark, cynical, sensual view of life. There are...so very many cemeteries left to see, so very many bygone bayous left to float along by, tree by dying tree.
“The Sanguinarian” is Analisa’s feature film directorial debut.
