'The Rising' on CD!!!
Hello our superstar cast of supporters. Breaking news just in today -- we are releasing 'The Rising', (previously only available via digital download) on CD!!! Yep, one of those little 5" plastic digital discs that play music and come in a nice little package. Not as exciting as releasing it on vinyl, but it's a start. The main reason I wanted to announce this here was; for those of you who have made a contribution of $25 or more, which would reward you with a copy of the Double Vinyl LP in which we are campaigning for, if you choose, you can receive a signed copy of the CD version instead of the vinyl. I know, some of you vinyl junkies are like, why the heck would anyone choose the CD over the vinyl, but in reality, not everyone has a record player, and not everyone has that appreciation and passion for vinyl, but they still do have a passion for tangible pieces of packaged art.
Coincidentally, we (KATA) will be playing a show on August 10th in San Diego, which is also the date that we will first have these CD's available and ALSO the date that this campaign ends. So we're really hoping that Friday August 10th turns out to be a big day of celebration for all of us.
I've tried to make it a point to personally thank each and every one of you, but if I haven't, or my message wasn't clear enough -- THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!! Seriously, this is so incredible seeing this thing grow. We've still got a long way to go, but if you guys can share this with your friends, or anyone you think might like what we're doing, or benefit from one of our rewards I think we can make this happen.
