About this project
Amy's fourth album, Grow to Catch the Wind, is on the verge of being released. The target date is November 1st. The only thing that is missing to make it happen is, (you guessed it), Money.
The great thing about raising this money is that all it requires you to do is buy your items in advance. You will actually receive more for your money than you will if you wait for the album to be released. So it's a win win situation for everyone.
The goal of this project is to raise money for mastering and printing of the album, plus tshirt printing.

Note: If you want a different combination of items (Like 1 CD, and 2 tshirts) you can pledge the money for those items and specify later with me exactly what you want. In that case, additional CDs will be $15 each, and additional t-shirts will be $15 each. Example: A pledge of $25 will get you an mp3 of Angel's Road, a CD, and a tshirt. If you want an extra tshirt, you will add $15 which will make the total $40.
The t-shirts will have this image plus they will say on the back "These roots weren't meant for gripping. They Grow to Catch the Wind." Artwork by Xavier Rodriguez
FAQ
-
Of course! You can donate whatever amount you choose. I can email you mp3s or nothing if you really don't want anything.
-
Yes. I will send out a survey after my goal has been reached and you can tell me exactly what you want.
-
After I've reached my goal I will send out a survey for you to fill out. This will include things like your address and contact info, and how you'd like to receive your items. I will be touring in Europe for September. But as soon as I return in October, I will start compiling all the information and mailing things out. So you can expect to receive everything by November 1st.
-
Then you would pledge at the $25 level and add $15 for a second CD plus $30 for 2 more tshirts. Your total would be $70. And you can specify exactly what you want, including sizes, after I've reached my goal.
-
Any amount made beyond my goal will still go into the music. The amount I'm raising is the minimum needed but I could use more.

Amy's fourth album, Grow to Catch the Wind (2011), takes her multilayered sound to new levels. A string quartet, layered harmonies, and howling cello solos all join with her signature soaring vocals, piano and guitar. Amy's lyrical confessions pierce through the sonic complexity, perhaps more than ever. The album, her most brave and honest work yet, is the culmination of several years of soul-searching, a cycle of death and rebirth.
The haunting and ethereal style of Amy's songs has drawn the attention of audiences and critics alike. Her track, Carousel, from Amy's second album, Kite, was featured in the TV show, Grey’s Anatomy, and numerous other tracks have been used regularly for programs on MTV. Her music can also be heard regularly on KZSC radio in Santa Cruz as well as other stations around California and also in the documentary titled, I Do: A Marital Discord in America.
In addition to playing regularly for her loyal following in the Monterey Bay area, Amy performs up and down the West Coast of the U.S., including at venues such as Genghis Cohen in Los Angeles and Yoshi’s Lounge in San Francisco.
