My name is Cecilia and I am artist and designer working in Brooklyn, NY. With your help I will be able to to set up my own ceramic studio to make the production of my new jewelry line, Amuletos, a reality.
I have been fascinated with clay for many years, exploring its material characteristics in the shape of toys, lighting, table-ware and most recently magical objects for you to wear. With your donation I will be able to purchase all the necessary equipment and materials to be able to design and produce my new jewelry line.
For the last 6 months I have been busy designing and producing the samples for the collection. Amuletos are jewelry pieces cast in white or black porcelain slip, finished with metallic glazes. I am extremely interested in material exploration. In this collection the emphasis is placed in texture the use of precious metals. By supporting my project you are not only making the production of Amuletos possible, but also helping back localy based sustainable production practices.
