Update: We reached our goal! Thank you! We are excited to get this record finished and in the mail to you as soon as possible (February, most likely).

As you probably know, most projects tend to go over budget - so if you were planning on backing this, please still do if you can. This will provide us a little breathing room and we will be able to provide more interesting things for you in the long term. And we might even be able to grab a meal or two in the meantime. Amigo/Amiga is an artist owned and supported record label. For just over one year, Amigo/Amiga has released two songs at a time for (or, rather, together with) Kelli Schaefer with the end goal of compiling those songs with previously unreleased songs on a full-length 12" vinyl record. Nearly all of the money made from this released music so far has gone directly to making and releasing more music, so we have started this Kickstarter page to pay for some of the many up front costs associated with releasing albums.

Unlike many labels these days, we don't lose our shorts creating these recordings, and we have so far been able to use our own studio and the help of many friends to put these songs out into the world. However, in releasing this new album, many new costs come up that have not been associated with releasing singles: mixing / mastering (twice - once for vinyl and once for digital releases) / artwork design / vinyl master / vinyl test pressings / shipping / etc. The list goes on, but the benefits of releasing a full-length album are great.

We want to give some interesting perks to those of you who can help us get this into the world. Look to your right to find out the different things you can receive if you can throw something our way. We'll spend the money and time making t-shirts for you ($40+ pledge), creating new artwork and music for the full-length vinyl ($15+) , and playing the music live for a small group of people (a $25 pledge or more gets you into a private show a lot like this one: http://vimeo.com/16017948 )

So my card is only charged if funding succeeds?
Yes! That's part of what makes Kickstarter special. If a project isn't fully funded, no one pays anything.

What if I want to change or cancel my pledge?
No problem. You can change or cancel your pledge anytime before Friday Nov 19, 10:21pm EST

If this project is funded, how do I get my reward?
When your reward is ready, AmigoAmiga will contact you by email to request any info they'll need to deliver your reward (mailing address, t-shirt size, etc).

Is pledging with my credit card safe?
Yes! Amazon is a highly trusted e-commerce provider with top-tier security. Amazon is the only party that sees and stores your credit card info.
