Help this established author continue his popular series, The Stanley Cooper Chronicles. Now writing book three of the series.
I want to further my writing career by continuing my successful book series, The Stanley Cooper Chronicles. The previous two books in the series, Vermin and Pages, were both very successful from a small-press standpoint. But I'm trying to continue that success and take it to the next level with book three of the series, Ectostorm. Stanley Cooper was an ordinary guy until he took a nasty fall in an industrial accident, which left him clinically dead for three minutes. He was revived, but now he can see dead people, ghosts and disturbed spirits. Not only that, but he can also see the living energy that surrounds all living things in the world. Along with his girlfriend, Maggie (herself a practicing witch), and a host of other supporting characters, Stanley has to come to terms with what he is and the weird things that threaten Pittsburgh, and the world.
To achieve my goal, I intend to use this money to purchase promotional materials (t-shirts, bookmarks, etc.) to send out along with review copies. I will also purchase a new computer on which I can write the book as my old laptop is on its last legs. My sincere hope is I can use the money to make this book my most successful to date.
Should you want to find out more about my work or me, you can always visit my website, http://www.americanhorrorwriter.net friend me on Facebook, or even follow me on Twitter. I'm for real. I'm a real, traditionally published writer who is struggling to keep his career going.
Incidentally, I do also have a "day job," but it doesn't allow me to save enough to buy a new computer. Anything extra I do get usually goes to my two daughters.
Yes. This book will be published by Library of the Living Dead's Library of Horror imprint, as was the first two in this series.
Any professional writer will tell you that, with few exceptions, writers don't get rich. This backing will provide me with a computer on which to write, promotional materials to ensure the success of the project, and the time in which to write it.
You can find out about the other books (eleven in all, plus a few in which I appear) by going to my website, http://www.americanhorrorwriter.net
Yep. That picture is from World Horror Convention 2011, in Austin, Texas. When I go to a convention to participate in panels and read, I usually wear my kilt. Why? Three reasons. First, I actually am of Scottish descent. That's my family's tartan I'm wearing. Second, people tend to remember "kilt guy," and since I'm not incredibly well known yet, I need all the help I can get. Third, and most importantly, because I can.

You will have a character in the book named after you, which will be around for the world to see from that point on! Of course, the character will die horribly, but then you'll be able to say that you died in one of the Stanley Cooper books! How cool is that?! You'll also get a limited edition t-shirt, signed by the author, that tells the world that your namesake met his or her demise in The Stanley Cooper Chronicles!

This is the big one, the whole banana. For sponsorship at this level, you get the entire Stanley Cooper series FOR LIFE (which means whenever a new one is completed, you get one off the first stack that appears, however many books there turns out to be), signed by the author. You also get the special limited edition t-shirt, the character named after you (who dies horribly), and an in-person reading and signing with the author! He'll fly out to your home town (continental US only) where he'll participate in a reading and signing for you and your friends. He'll even wear his kilt, if you like. Note: There is no limit to this reward. If five people pledge this amount, five people get a visit. if only one, that that's the lucky person. I consider myself lucky to get even one, so there you have it.
