We did it! We did it! We...oh hallelujah!
I CANNOT begin to tell you how relieved (and shocked, to be honest) I start off my first day back in the studio with this lovely surprise! We've hit the $5,000 goal! And then some!
It was also nice to inform my cellist & producer that they are, in fact, getting paid.
You guys are amazing! Still a day and a half to raise extra funds - lord knows I'll put every last dollar to good use - so please continue sharing the good word!

I woke up this morning to some more great news - I've been chosen as a finalist out of over 400 entries for the Recording Conservatory of Austin's 1st Annual Singer/Songwriter Competition. Winner gets over$20,000 in recording, gear, and prizes.

Holy crap!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! The flood of funding and encouragement that's come in in the first few days of the campaign has been humbling!
As I write this...I'm sitting in a cafe in Berlin, at the tail end of my European tour with The Sweetness. I've been playing all around Germany and Switzerland NON-STOP for the last three weeks - with only one off day - to try and save up to cover the rest of this album. Every last penny I make on this tour goes towards recording as soon as I get home.
I'm astounded at everyone's generosity - but there's still a long way to go. I am trying to lay off the espresso (oh but it's so tempting here) and constantly click *refresh* on the Kickstarter Page.
If you have contributed, or cannot contribute and still want to help - there are a few ways you can spread the word:
