I'm floored.
In the last 24 hours, people have shared the project on FaceBook and Twitter innumerable times, people have started to ban together to get a lullaby written for someone they love or to get a house concert, people have pledged at whatever level they could and wanted to, people have SHOUTED OUT TO THE WORLD that they had pledged, people have expressed NIGH UNDYING LOVE for this project.
These people have been amazing. And these people are YOU.
YOU are creating a buzz and even a bit of a movement. Your love and passion for this project.
I couldn't be more excited and grateful.
After years of finding bits of credit card space to max out to eek together an album, I'm wondering how the system ever worked before this. I'd sign EVERY album after EVERY show with love and care, pack up, and drive bleary eyed to the next city. I would love the excitement of people wanting to buy albums, but felt the disconnect between that and the feeling of putting together funds to MAKE the album.
I've never felt more supported and inspired to sing my soul into every note as I do by what you have done. By what you are doing. By your support for this project.
Every track on this album sounds so very very lovely, and each pledge brings us closer to it being done and beautiful and out there in your hands!
At indie labels, they'll blow $50,000 to $250,000 to record, produce, and promote an album like this. Majors would spend a gob ton more.
But we're making something honest and lean and lush for you.
And inspired! Here's our little Muse, Scarlett! I almost made this pic of her the main pic of this Kickstarter, because I love it so much!
I've got a present coming for you! To thank everyone who is helping to build the awesome momentum of this project, we're putting together an early version of one of my favorite tracks on the album!

i just want to say that i am very excited to get this album. i would also like to hear stories of the songs you sing to her and in what type of situations like is there a certain song for bathtime, naptime or drive time
