Update #6: funds cleared, planning the launch
hey everyone!
it's been about 3 weeks since 43 magazine's kickstarter campaign ended.
since then i've been working on putting the launch event together,
looking for the right gallery space in manhattan,
and finishing the 1st issue, aiming for a mid october launch!
i just sent out backer surveys to collect info necessary to fulfill rewards.
other than launch info, this will be one of the last updates via the kickstarter system.
please join the mailing list via 43magazine.com, check back there periodically,
and follow us on facebook for slightly more frequent and incidental updates.
the 43 kickstarter page has over 4500 facebook likes,
and there's been a lot of press about it, especially for a magazine that isn't out yet!
none of this would have been possibly without your support, thank you so much.
the Williamsburg Greenpoint News + Arts paper printed photo feature
and interview about 43, including a photo of me skating on the cover,
in the sept 2011 issue.
i'll post more photos of the photo feature.

we hit our minimum funding goal with 5 days left!
before i had the chance to send another mass email!
any additional
pledges will go towards adding pages to the 1st issue,
and increasing
the number of copies printed!
this is also your last chance to have 43 mailed directly to you,
as well as to purchase archival prints!

Update #3: 80% there, 9 days to go!
hey everyone,
first, a huge thank you to everyone who has backed the project so far!
i've been overwhelmed with the responses,
and so close to shedding a tear with nearly every pledge.
if you haven't checked back since the last update 2 wks ago,
have a look! we just hit 80%, $16,000.
there're only 9 days to go, i know it'll go fast,
and if we dont reach at least $20,000,
nobody's pledges are charged, and the project won't be funded!
to me, the prints for sale are the best value,
but any pledge counts!
if the 3600+ facebook likers each put in $1, we'd pretty much be there!
please help spread the word!
if you can take a minute to share the project with a brief message,
emails, texts, twittering, blog & facebook posts, they all really make a difference!
free postcards are now available at skate shops across the US,
also 100% post consumer waste paper, with vegetable based inks.
we made kickstarter project of the day earlier this week,
