Update #8: The Woodshed at The Jazz Gallery
Dear backers,
Hope this message finds you well. I just pledged some money to a wonderful project called "The Woodshed at The Jazz Gallery" and wanted to let you know about it. The Jazz Gallery has been a really important space for my musical development, not only because I've performed there with several of my projects and have been able to experiment and premiere new music, but because I have been able to witness some of the most progressive and adventurous music that is made today in NYC.
The Gallery has recently started a Kickstarter campaign with a wonderful initiative: They will offer free rehearsal space time to musicians for their creative needs, something that most of us have a hard time finding and/or paying for.
Since you were a supporter of my "Noneto Ibérico" project, I thought you may consider checking this out and backing this campaign. It's well worth it! You can find it at: http://kck.st/pBooga
All the best!
Alexis
Update #7: A small Xmas present - Petit regal de nadal - pequeño regalo de Navidad
Update #6: THANK YOU!!!! GRACIES!!!!! GRACIAS!!!!
Update #5: 8 days to go!
Dear Backers,
In the last few days, I've realized that the best (and most beautiful) aspect of carrying out this Kickstarter campaign for my upcoming CD "Noneto Ibérico" is the direct communication with music lovers. Someone I never met wrote this last Friday:
"Alexis,
I've been listening to the streaming CD. As I remembered from the jazz gallery, music this special is part of what makes life worth living. This is a genuine masterpiece and I will be listening to it for the rest of my life, and although we do not know each other, I am very proud and happy for you. Congratulations."
A renowned music producer, whom I've been lucky to work in the past, pledged a rather large sum to the project. After I send him a thank you note, I received a simple response: "Keep up the good work..."
Feedback like this makes my life as a musician, bassist and composer make sense. Really!
So again, I just want to take this opportunity to thank you so much for your support. It means a lot to me! I also appreciate all the online sharing that backers have done. With only 8 days to go, every "share" or "tweet" counts!
I also wanted to remind you that you can actually stream the entire CD on my homepage at http://www.alexiscuadrado.com, and that you can see a few videos of the project on my youtube channel at http://www.youtube.com/alexiscuadrado, including a live performance and interview at WNYC and a video of the Noneto recording in the studio.
Take care!
Update #4: Week 2 is in full swing
Hi backers!
I have been receiving pretty amazing feedback about the "Noneto Ibérico" project, and I'm so very thankful to those of you who have pledged to help finance the post-production of the album. As of now, 43 different backers have pledged a total of $2,243.00! But there's still a long way to go! With 18 days left I need to get to the $8000 mark, and that's not going to be an easy task.
That's why I'd really appreciate if you can take some time share it with your friends and family. Any contribution really helps, even if it's a small one…really!
Also, I wanted to remind you that you can stream and listen the entire "Noneto Ibérico", CD for free on my website, just log on to http://alexiscuadrado.com and it's on the home page!
Alexis
PS: Look Below! Here's a full piece from "Noneto Ibérico" . It's called "Te Sigo" and it was the very first song that I wrote for the project. It has a special place in my heart... Enjoy it!
