If you've been following our updates via Facebook, Kickstarter, and Twitter you'll know that we've run into a few production issues and have had a few missteps along the course of the production of the film. I hate making this excuse, but I ask that you please keep in mind that I am a 22 year old independent filmmaker undertaking a grandiose project on a scale of which I have never done before. I have graciously been given an opportunity to undertake my dream project, but with it comes the baggage of a lot of new and foreign things and obstacles for me (both in the business sense and the extreme levels of stress and anxiety that come with this kind of responsibility). There are multiple facets and layers of working on a project this extensive that dwarf when I was writing and directing the short films for competitions. It's hard. Like, really hard. But we're going to get there.
We ran into some casting issues and what seemed like half a dozen potholes along the way - some my fault, some out of my control, and some completely on the shoulders of individuals I will not name publicly. These all caused the production to be delayed. The overly optimistic November deadline was on one bred from naivety and the assumption that I could have a similar turnaround time as some of the other (admittedly older and more experienced) filmmakers I knew. These and the production missteps are things that I still beat myself up over knowing that if I had been more familiar and experienced with making a full length feature these might have been avoided. But that's how you learn, and you take mistakes as they come and grow from them. I'll admit there were a few times where I wanted to vocalize my frustrations, but ultimately came to the conclusion that it just simply wouldn't be very professional for me to go off on a tirade on the internet and point fingers and rant. It would ultimately accomplish nothing, and I've learned the setbacks that happen are just simply how things go sometimes when you try to put together a project like this. But more importantly, that's also how you learn. I've learned a lot.
I take full responsibility for the delay and any inconvenience that it might have caused you. Believe me, I wish I could have had given you that DVD on time and be able to see how the world receives it. As for promotional materials and supplements, we're keeping a lot of things close to the vest for now (such as the journal updates on the website by "Eric") and we have another update coming later this month. In regards to the trailer, to be completely honest, I've been toying with the idea of even releasing a traditional trailer at all when the movie gets closer to be released (instead something more in the vein of the later short videos for the Jadusable series). I'm interested in doing things a little differently with Methods (and this is probably the only chance I'll get to do these kinds of things before I'll have investors to please, corporate negociations, quotas to meet, etc. in my future films) because it is being released for free, after all.
We are making forward progress, it is indeed taking longer than we originally projected, and again I apologize. I definitely encourage you to keep up to date on the Facebook and Twitter accounts (We just got one of the prototype movie posters for the backer rewards back from production earlier this week and put pictures up - check it out!) to stay "in-the-know".
If you have any more questions, I encourage you to send me a PM on here or via Facebook.

It's been ten months and we haven't even gotten a video trailer. Hell, it was estimated u would be holding the DVD in my hands four months ago. What's going on.

Yep, in fact just recently there was an update on the Methods Twitter account several days ago and a few brief updates during the stream a few weeks back on the Twitch.tv Brogamers channel. It's been busy, but long story short I'm currently working on putting out a substantial update for the holiday season about the progress. The video will be going up on the Jadusable Youtube channel, and will coincide with an update on this Kickstarter page as well linking the video. Backer rewards are in the process of being shuffled out over the course of the coming months - I'm working with a graphic designer to get the concept art just right before we put it out. Stay tuned everyone.

So what's the deal Alex, are you still working on MoR?

In every generation, there comes one event that changes the world. For better or worse, this change is permanent. I truly believe that Methods of Revolution is that event for this generation. And I am sure that it will change this world for the better.

Love the work you did for the CreepyPasta! Which I'm still hoping for you to continue by the way ;) But either way, really hope this project goes well for you! Looking forward to seeing how it turns out!

Seems like you have a good goal in mind. I haven't seen any of your work outside of Jadusable, but that already shows that you can weave a good story. Hope you reach your goal, man, I'll try to spread the word.
