Happy leap year day... or something!
If you watched the update video above you know that i've upped the stakes here, if I can at least double my goal I'm going to announce a European tour by the end of the year! Now I haven't booked it yet, so what I'm promising here is that I WILL put one together by years end! This is something I've wanted to do for a long time now, and since this Kick Starter continues to grow it finally seems realistic.
I've also put up a new reward, and lowered the minimum donation for a few others so check it all out (especially the sweet license plate from the video I just shot with Kurt Hugo Schnieder). You can continue to pre-order the album, and grab up all the other cool stuff I'm offering... We only have a few days left, your continued support continues to blow my mind. I <3 you all.

My name is Alexander G Gut, you probably know me as Alex Goot, or Goot (big difference, I know)...You could be spending your precious time on the internet doing 8 trillion other things - in fact, I'm sure some of you won't read past this paragraph - but that’s ok! Go enjoy your time on Reddit, or Tumblr or wherever you are. The fact that even some of you are interested in becoming a part of my project, though, means the world to me. Thank you guys so much!
Welcome to my Kickstarter! For now I'm going to keep this short and sweet, I'm sure I'll beef this up with Kickstarter updates, more info, and way too many "thank yous” along the way, but for now here's the deal.
I'm in the process of writing my first full length album right now. So far I think I'm creating the best original material I've ever written, and I'm ecstatic for you to hear it all. However, as always - there's a catch.
Going into this recording process (I've already done some basic demos, just to get my ideas out there), I'm worried that I won't be able to capture the songs the way that I want to hear them, and the way that YOU deserve to hear them. Without the aid of a label, I'm stuck putting new gear, external studio time (I'd like to track some of the instruments and vocals in an outside studio to make things sound both bigger, and different from my usual releases), video costs, photography, artwork, physical production, and the costs of touring all on my credit card... For a guy my age, it’s pretty scary - but in my opinion, worth it to live my dream.
What I'm asking for here, is some support from you - my friends, and fans. I've come a long way, but I don't think I can do it on my own. I want to make this album EXACTLY what you and I both want it to be, and with this Kickstarter that becomes possible. I've torn my studio apart and made, what I think, are some pretty cool rewards for your generous donations. You can read them all on the side, hopefully I didn't get too crazy with them!
You can also simply pre-order the record, and get some sweet stuff at the same time... Everything helps, and every cent goes towards putting together this release, as well as making the FULL U.S. HEADLINING tour I'm trying to put together possible.
Being an independent artist is hard, I won't lie... But I can also say that it's the single most rewarding feeling I've had in my life. I'm able to interact directly with each and every one of you, and nothing feels better than making music for your friends. Every note on this album is as much for you as it is for me, and together I think we can show the world that it’s possible to create awesome music, and stay independent at the same time.
I can't say it enough, but thank you... I'd be nothing without you guys.
