About this project
Robert Poss and I have worked together since 2004. He has been a collaborator on every project I have made with my company. But this evening length work, other stories, is the first time we have collaborated this deeply. He has been an essential part of every stage of the work, and has performed live with us at every venue. We are raising money to invite him to perform LIVE with us at every one of our shows during our upcoming Tenth anniversary season. The season is a three week run at Joyce SoHo and represents a celebration of ten years as NY Dance Theater company and a celebration of my creative process with Robert Poss.

I have had the amazing opportunity to work as a performer with Bill T. Jones, Martha Clarke and Charles Mee, John Turturro, Irving Penn and other luminaries who have taught and fed me. In 2001 I made the foolhardy and exhilarating choice to start my own Dance Theater company, Alexandra Beller/Dances. I have toured to Korea, Hong Kong, Oslo, Amsterdam, Poland, Russia, Cyprus, and throughout the US and am delighted to keep pushing ahead making art.
