To All of Our Awesome Backers,

We just passed the 20 day mark, which means we are half through Kickstarter. 43 generous, kind, amazing backers later…..we are at $4,625! Unbelievable. We are so impressed with all of you and your belief in this project. And so…..

--YOUR LOVELY PHOTOS--

Kickstarter is kicking. This well-oiled engine is quickly heading on its way to India. The $6000 goal is near. This means EVERYONE OF YOU are going to India with us. This is something we did together, and I think it is an idea worth celebrating.

We are going to do a posting in jubilation of this milestone and would like some pictures of our backers showing their amazement, surprise and/or exhilaration of this event. This does not mean you need to take any new pictures (although you can if you want!). This could be you celebrating on top of a mountain, a picture of your pets/kids (is it bad that we put these two in the same thought?), or whatever other photograph you feel captures this feeling for you in a personal way.

Also, let us know if we can use your name and/or location if the need arises. IMPORTANT: We will NOT be identifying contribution levels.

So what will these pictures be used for? We can’t tell you…its part of the surprise! :P

--THE SLIDESHOW—
We just posted a brand, spanking new slideshow highlighting the vision of our trip. You can view it by going to the main page of our Kickstarter. It’s featured right at the top. If you like picture books, we think you will enjoy the slideshow.

--NOTEBOOK UPDATE--

Reiteration from before: the idea behind this film is to meet young people creating positive change in India. We hope to discover what inspires these individuals and what drives them forward. Instead of trying to answer these questions ourselves through a single afternoon interaction, we hope to allow the people we meet along the journey to tell their own story.

We will be giving notebooks to them (and an envelope with pre-paid postage) and ask them to document their thoughts over a month long period. They can fill the pages with whatever they want. Our hope is to take away an insight about who they are as people through their writings. After we receive their notebooks in the mail, we will be tying in their personal writings as a narrative in our film.

Problem is, we don't have any notebooks! Well....that was until two days ago. We called this cool company based in Oregon called Pinball Publishing. They are ecofriendly and use 100% recycled materials. They have just the notebook we are looking for called the Scout Book. We told them about our film and requested a donation of 100 notebooks. They agreed....but decided to donate 250 notebooks, along with customized artwork! Oh my...how we love people.

Alright, time for the immunizations. Routine, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, rabies, japanese encephalitis, polio. Youch! Thank you so much again for your support of this project. Keep spreading the word, we are almost there!
