Hello there and welcome!  Thanks so much for considering my project. I would like to raise funds to direct the world premiere of my first full-length play, The Natural Act, by a fantastic playwright and friend, Charles Watson here in New York. For over 10 years, I've freelanced in theater production doing everything from hanging lights to running light/sound boards to stage managing and my very greatest creative love, directing, all while working full-time in classical radio.  I have had the pleasure of directing 6 one-acts at various theaters around New York to wonderful support from friends, family and colleagues. This project represents a long-standing goal for me as I would love to have the ability to fund rentals, rehearsal space, designers and actors in this effort.

Charles Watson is a veteran New York playwright who has had works produced at Ensemble Studio Theatre, The New Group, HERE Arts Center, The Miranda Theatre, Abingdon Theatre Company, Oberlin Theater Company, the Rose Theater at Lincoln Center and many more. 

About Set Designer Andrew Stone

Andrew Stone directs the art and paint department of Global Scenic Services including surface treatments, sculpture and flame treatment of scenery. After acquiring a BS in fine art from Skidmore College, he began working and training as a scenic artist under Leo Meyer at Atlas Scenic Studios while freelancing as prop-master for Yale Opera. In his free time Andrew works on portraits, murals and sculpture as well as writing and recording music. He has been with Global Scenic Services since the company’s inception in 2006 and has been the charge artist for more than 50 productions.
