      If you don't reach your goal, you might consider IndieGoGo to try to collect money next time. It is very similar to Kickstarter, but you get to keep the money no matter if you reach your goal or not.

      Hi Forteller (and all who are interested),

      Thanks for the donation and support. As of now our intentions are to release the film with a Creative Commons License. We are big supporters of Lawrence Lessig and all his work regarding the outdated copyright laws in the US and globally. I will add some verbiage on the Kickstarter page showing the attribution. Incidentally all the trailers we have posted on the web via Vimeo and YouTube state a CC Licence however, when we were adding the video to KS there was not specific option to state as such.

      Hi. Will you distribute this very important documentary under a Creative Commons license so that as many people as possible will be able to see it and take part in it? The internet is made for copying and sharing, so a documentary like this, defending the internet, should be too! If not it is not truly made for the age of the internet.

      If you do you could have it listed on kickstarter.com/creativecommons so that more people see it and back it. I will also back and promote this Kickstarter project a lot more if you did!

      I would recommend the CC By-Sa license.

Akorn Entertainment was founded by Jeffrey Horn and Ali Akbarzadeh in 2006 on the mantra of producing highly creative, visually compelling content that engages viewers on multiple levels. Much of the production work scope consists of intimate personal stories woven together with beautiful High-Definition video, captivating visual effects and unforgettable music.

Highlights from the Akorn Entertainment portfolio include a feature length documentary about the city of Downtown Santa Ana that is enjoying it’s third year on PBS in Orange County. Akorn also received two platinum MARCOM Awards for their campaign with the OC Goodwill, the three PSA’s took best campaign and best pro-bono.

Chris Dollar is an Advanced Placement U.S. Government, Economics, World History, and Model United Nations teacher at Capistrano Valley High School.  He earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science with an emphasis in American Government at California State University, Long Beach where he was accepted into the President's Scholar Program.  Chris also served as a paid intern for Congressman Stephen Horn, where his work focused in the Congressional Subcommittee for Government Management Information and Technology. He joined up with Akorn to develop and produce the documentary #killswitch.
