NEWS: Community Service The Movie just attended their first Film Festival at Palm Beach and won in the excellence in "The Art Of Filmmaking" Award!
About the Project:
"COMMUNITY SERVICE" was started in the Summer of 2008 with a basic outline of the Script. May 2009 we held auditions which we had over 150 people show up, (http://www.youtube.com/watch...) . Summer of 2009 and 2010 Shooting took place in Upstate New York from Buffalo NY to Albany NY. Over 100 people were involved in this film either on camera, off Camera (Crew) or even just by Donations and Helping us Fund. We have spend Roughly over $30,000 so far for Equipment, Locations, Travel Cost, Food, Props, a Website, Marketing, along with many other things. As of now, were in a 2nd Edit of the Film which will time out to be 1hr 15 Minutes.
What are the Funds for?
We are looking for funds for our current Video Editor, (KOREY OWENS) Who worked as a Video Editor For HBO show "THE PACIFIC" and ABC show "LOST". After about 50 Hours of Editing we will then send this film over for about 50 hours of sound work including a custom score. Also we are in need of filling in two more Small scenes within the next two months. Once said and Done, we plan to have this film wrapped up by June 2012 and It will be send to 20-50 Film Festivals, a Majority of them being Horror, Between Fall of 2012 and Fall of 2014.
About The Film:
"COMMUNITY SERVICE" Is a Horror/Comedy Film which first takes place in the late 1980's at a School Ground. Billy Fouls is just a School Kid at the time, but one that always gets picked on. One day Billy gets tired of the School Bullies and ends up killing one with a Rock and making another one suffer. He is then taken away to a Psychiatric Center were he waits to get his revenge on one of the school bullies, Bob Butterfield, who is now a cop in charge of Community Service. When Billy Fouls Finds out about were Bob will be doing Community Service, he finds a way to escape and the Community Service Workers and Officer Bob Butterfield along with Officer Jim Springfield are in for more then a weekend of work. This Film is Comedy throughout, but it gets more serious as the film Continues.

We Currently are in Post Production so we have very little. This Clip is the start to the whole Film. This is before any Color Corrections, Increase Special Effects, Shorter Cuts. How good do you think "Community Service" Will do in the Film Festivals?
This film will be in over 30 Film Festivals throughout the United States for the next two years. Mostly Horror. We are 110% we will receive at the minimum one win at a Film Festival(s) but are expecting much more. If we Don't Receive at least one Win, We will personally send everyone there donations back plus let them keep their already given Rewards. Thats how Sure we are!
What's the best Reward for the Price?
