As you're waiting for me to finish the first book, there are some real gems which deserve your attention and support.  Among them is this treasure of a project which I'm supporting, and I hope you consider it as well.  As you can imagine, I've had hundreds of requests to promote various projects on KS – and this one stands out as clever, charming, and in my view, important.

Hello all –

With less than 24 hours to go on the campaign, I've had the tremendous fortune of being able to connect with DOZENS of Wollstonecraft supporters in person, as well as take some really exciting meetings re: extending the world of Wollstonecraft far beyond the novels. 

I don't know what the next 22 hours will bring, but I do know that I'm overwhelmed with gratitude for your participation and encouragement.  

I'm writing this from a roadside motel about 7 hours from a 90 minute ferry and then another 30 minute ferry home – and this after three amazing days of the Calgary show (just a week after the Victoria show) and a five hour drive through the mountains today. So as you can imagine, I'm a little tired.

But I'm grateful and amazed at you wonderful people.

We just hit a huge milestone: 2500 backers.  That's a whole lotta love, and a firehose of ideas and inspiration.  You the readers and supporters mean so much more than the project budget.  I have the best backers in the world, and I've learned that the secret to crowd-funding is to start with a truly amazing crowd.

Today is the birthday of our Mary's mom, Mary Wollstonecraft, the founder of modern feminism.  She's an inspiring testament to the power of articulating your ideas, and how that can shape the world.

Thank you all SO MUCH for helping me bring this project to life, and I'm continually encouraged by letters of support and comments and mad schemes and "wouldn't it be cool if" and the way you've all brought your networks on board. 

I'm on the road promoting the world of Wollstonecraft, connecting with 35,000 people at the Calgary Fan Expo, so come by booth D03 and say hello!

There's MUCH Wollstonecraft news to share, some of which is embargoed until pen hits paper but I'll be posting regular updates at the end of the campaign when we can crunch final numbers and send you all an updated project schedule of what to expect by when.
