Over the last couple of years, we have been documenting Auschwitz survivors tattooed with a number by the Nazis. 

We set out on this journey after meeting an 80 year old survivor who asked us if we knew what her number meant. Indeed, people with numbers from Auschwitz are rapidly fading away from our world.

In order to complete our project, we need funding - in 3 weeks we will gather 50 survivors to create a historical group portrait - 65 years after the liberation of Auschwitz, proof of what took place there is still etched on the flesh of the survivors. 

Their struggle to regain their name after being turned into a mass of faceless numbers is their heritage to the world. This is what NUMBERED is all about. This is what we will commemorate, with them, during that day.

Numbered tells a story that belongs to all of us - the survivors' life lessons should be passed on from generation to generation. We want this to be your film just as much as it is ours.
