I'm afraid extensions aren't possible, so in 62 hours, at the moment I'm writing this, the kickstarter pledge period will end. There are other options however, ChipIn for example takes a similar format to kickstarter, the differences I believe are that it's more widget driven, that the event is not all-or-nothing (both a strength and a weakness), and there are no rewards promoted. Of course, if I take that course, I'll honor all rewards I've established here. The bakery will come, that much is certain. And I think I'll check out the veg festival, thanks for the tip!

You make a good point Thaddius, there is zero affiliation with the band AFI and this project. If you think this has anything to do with the band AFI, of whom I have spoken with regards to nomenclature (and they find the name use flattering), do not toss money in my direction. If you think this project has everything to do with sweet treats and fantastic eats, then by all means, toss as much money as your willing in this direction.

Thank you Mike, the site is actually technically in Emeryville, so the hurdles we know exist are a bit easier to pass. As far as the oven is concerned, I would have it no other way than built my own hand. Plus, I can walk to work, and I like that.

i know a historic location in Crockett, an old Itailian bread bakery, that has a wood fired oven. I don't know if the building has a current occupant. I realize you want an Oakland location. Just thought I'd throw that out since building a new one has hurdles.
