Was my first Kickstarter too. Personally I don't think he set out to scam folks from the start go but the project costs and work rapidly went to hell and in the end proved too much for him to handle. Not uncommon when a dream project isn't grounded enough with cold reality and experience.

I just found out Alex was working with Robert Butler when he did this project. Robert is
notorious for stealing from people with scam projects. I can now safely say anyone who
has not received their cards is beat. Sorry to tell you this.Alex will ban anyone who asks
about the Vortex at his forum. He has basically washed his hands and will no longer respond in
anyway

Well, that is it. Alex says that was his last "update" on KS. No more communication. He censors any comments about the Vortex on his forum and has now stopped bullshitting us on KS. I guess it is over Hopefully KS would not allow him to do any more projects but then again he could do a Robert Butler and use a false name. No more Alex, no more Don Boyer posting as someone else "Don Boyer, the Alex lacky, he is like Joeseph Goebles, loyal to the end, even though he knows Alex is a scammer, Don is only following orders." I hope Alex has learned from this and gets the help he needs. Sorry to everyone who got scammed. At least Alex may soon be an afterthought.

I do not know, I contacted KS a few times about him all KS does is tell you to contact him. I guess after KS collects there % they are out of the mess. All we can hope for is they do not let him do another project. Say no to Alex.

The whole "did not see 50 people" thing is inconsistent with an earlier update where he said that he had to cross-check all of the payments with the Kickstarter info because some people had disputed the charges. Those 50 people didn't show up in that audit? Also, people have been sending PMs for months asking for status. Wouldn't you check the info to see if you had actually shipped, and if someone wasn't on the list at all, wouldn't you wonder what was wrong? The excuses (when he even bothered to make them) have been lame from the beginning.

Your a CROOK and a pathological liar, and thats the reason why no one likes you or your hideous deck designs. It took you over a year to send me the decks I backed. Which I would never do again. Also you sent me 4 decks with no cellophane and puncture marks at the bottom of each deck intentionally, just to try and upset me. Your a horrible person and un professional. I also attempted to get a refund and you refused to cooperate and ignored my numerous attempts to contact you. Furthermore you have been blacklisted and have been reported to several agencies, that are currently investigating your crooked business practices. Im pretty sure im not the only person you screwed over. I believe this is important for backers to know for future reference. You are a scam artist you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent.

@Tswyatswb, I found it interesting that he is isolating Aethercards.com from this project after he forced us to go there for information when he refused to give it here. (Then again, he wasn't really giving us updates there, either. Every time he said he was, I would go there an search, and I would find just little snippets that were not at all informative.)

It will be interesting to see if scam man will give an update this month and address any of these concerns. He is censoring his forum deleting any complaints people have about his deck/business practices at Aethercards.com.The only involvement he has now with the vortex is dodging everyones questions. He said he will update in Dec. but I will be surprised if he actually does. If he does, he will just make some general farsical statement and then continue to dodge the issue. Scam man Alex.

It has now been a year since this Kickstarter project successfully raised its funding goal. I ordered one deck at a $9.00 dollar pledge. Maybe not much money, but it matters to me. I'm now investigating how to best pursue legal inquiries/action. Since I'm a 'senior' it seems that I several options including senior abuse/fraud; senior internet fraud; and investor fraud. Examining the Nevada State websites to see which filing will be the most appropriate.
