Jamie, you absolutely don't need to be a citizen, but watch out for tax issues. If you have anyone you can consult about the tax liability ahead of time, do. (Good advice for anyone considering a Kickstarter project!)

Thanks, I guess I can run down to the US and open an account. I don't think you need to be a US citizen to open a bank account. Cheers Jamie

Hi Jamie, there is still a requirement that you have a US account to raise funds on Kickstarter (as far as we know). We were able to work with this (having one American member of the team helps) and we've seen many other projects that were not based in the US, but it's an unfortunate restriction.

This site is great. I am based in Vancouver and I was wondering how you submitted a project if it requires a US address and account? Is this now available to Canadian entrepreneurs. Thanks

A digital copy of our debut issue, plus a postcard featuring the cover art, signed by one of us as a token of our everlasting gratitude. The postcard will have a single, tantalizing sentence written on the back, drawn from one of the stories in that issue. The sentence featured on the postcard will be hand-picked and unique across all the postcards we send.
