About this project
The time has come for Rhino Bucket to record a new record and rather than the customary “pre-sale” that we usually do, we have decided to reach out further and involve everyone in the process.
Those of you not familiar with the band, they continue the tradition of bad ass boogie-rock ala AC/DC and ZZ Top. They were on a major label in the past, broke up for a while and resurrected the band a few years back. The Bucket has had songs in films ranging from Wayne’s World to The Wrestler - That’s a pretty long career span!
The funds we raise though Kickstarter will go directly to recording and promoting a new record. We have a great producer on-board with credits including Danzig, The Vines, and many more so the record is sure to be loud and proud.
The songs will be recorded in Los Angeles and we will be filming the event, editing clips together so you can see the progress and get a sneak peek of the songs as we go. We'll do as many updates as we can.
We have some great rewards, including some things we get asked for a lot –signed items, out of print records, etc. Local LA underground artist Todd Bemis will be doing a limited hand-screened poster signed and numbered by him and the band, and we recently discovered the multi-track tapes of Rhino Bucket live at the Coconut Teaszer in LA that will be available as a download as well.
And, as if that’s not enough, we have included an iPod Nano with the entire Rhino Bucket Catalog – that’s ALL six records (including the new one), Coconut Teaszer live, bonus tracks and previously unheard material.
We even have a special limited reward to sing background vocals on the record! We’ll send you a rough mix of the track, YOU shout out the vocals into computer microphone, webcam, cassette deck - whatever you have - send it to us and we’ll include you in the gang background vocals on the song! Now that’s badass.
The Bucket is ready to make a record, let’s do it together!
BTW, we are shooting for a pre- Xmas 2010 mailout of the rewards, but be aware that we need to raise the full amount or this promotion will be voided by Kickstarter, it's all or nuthin' here...

Acetate Records is a small, indie label run out of a garage in Los Angeles, we’ve been around for 10 years, with over 40 releases under our belt and counting...
Unfortunately, the last decade has also seen the death of the record store, the rock club (R.I.P. CBGB’s) and other holy places of worship. It’s also seen the rise of Napster and a slew of other nefarious means of illegally downloading music. So where do labels make the money to make records and support indie artists anymore?
So in an effort to continue the tradition of creating great Rock n’ Roll, we are reaching out to YOU for support.
