About this project
The UGA Accidentals, the premier all-male a cappella group from the University of Georgia, is made up of 15 college guys with one common passion: we love to sing.
For over a decade we have competed in the annual International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, and every year we've fallen just short of finals in New York City. Every year we've taken the loss in stride, challenging next year's group to do better than the one before.
It finally paid off.
This year we won not only quarterfinal in a sold-out auditorium in Athens, GA, but we also took first place at semifinals in Greensboro. That means we're headed to New York City to compete against the 8 best a cappella groups in the world!
We don't receive much funding from the school, and any money we do have we earning putting on concerts or selling CDs. Frankly, we just don't have enough to make it all the way to New York City to compete. That's where you come in.
You, our loyal fans, have always supported us. You've always been there, screaming from the front row or sharing our CD with your families and friends. We need you now, more than ever.

This plaque commemorates those who have truly helped the Accidentals move forward and grow as a group. Your name will be included alongside other Accidentals themselves, including musical directors who have shaped the group, leaders who have led the group to amazing accomplishments, and other incredibly integral players in the history of the Accidentals. Formed in 1974, the UGA Accidentals is the oldest collegiate a cappella group at the University of Georgia. Using only our voices, we sing contemporary music, a few classics, and some choral pieces. The Accidentals typically consists of about 14 or so active, involved college guys who enjoy singing and have been performing for years--we have a good time on and off stage!
We are currently competing in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella and have made it to the international finals in New York City on April 24th! The UGA Accidentals have never made it this far in the competition, and we are excited to represent the south!
