This is a project that was influenced by a personal need to have an iPhone accessory that worked both as a table stand and a hands-free device that can be supported from the neck. As the video says, my Dad told me that every great idea you think up, four other people have thought of it at the same time and only one usually does something about it. I hope that you support me in this endeavor to beat the other four, whomever they may be!
We had originally designed the ScheckDeck to be a table stand only with the built in sound qualities being the main difference to the other table stands on the market. We planned to sell a ScheckNeck attachment but after a suggestion by a colleague and a design alteration by Clark Schaffer, we have it built-in without destroying the integrity of the original piece. Good work, guys!
What the ScheckDeck includes is a port for both headphone and charge cord connection, a sound enhancing face, an adjustable table stand, a neck strap, and an extendable foot for viewing of your iPhone while seated leaving you hands-free.
Our Goal:- We are attempting to raise $40,000 to get the ball rolling. Because of the number of pieces and complexity of the ScheckDeck, four separate molds need to be manufactured. After pricing them both stateside and abroad it seems that the costs are relatively the same. Low quantities of production drive the per unit price up. One of the shortfalls of independent creation.
After the molds have been produced and the backers receive their ScheckDecks we will look to marketing this on a national and worldwide level. A website is currently under development.
The Developers:- The people behind this project are serious about their work. Aaron Keck has worked for twenty years in the marketing and design industry and is the brainchild of the project. Clark Schaffer is a special effects artist with major motion picture experience as well as design skills out the wazoo! We feel that we are offering one of the best and most versatile iPhone stands on the market.
