About this project
*Update: We have lowered the price to receive some rewards. Everyone who donates more than $15 will also receive a digital copy of the games sound track and the Design Team will sign any book the supporter receives!
Warlord will be a fast paced tactical RTS game. Instead of focusing on building a base or swarming units, the player will hit the battlefield with an army that they build before the game starts. Managing those units will be key to victory. Resource gathering, troop improvements, and gathering reinforcements will also be handled in an entirely new way that will make the game more about the battle and less about the economy.
We have already formed a decent team and are calling ourselves Too Late Development. We have amazing programmers, a musical mastermind, and a project lead that helped create the Warlord miniature game. We are still missing one key piece to make our team complete...
What we need for this project is a lead artist. We are currently using free art from various sources, but the game needs to have a single person who can give the game a cohesive and professional look. Unfortunately we don't know anyone that will dedicate the time freely and we don't have the funds to pay someone with the skills. So it's our hope that we can gather the funds through Kickstarter and release a game we're able to be proud of not just for the gameplay, but for the graphics as well.
