Update #12: Voice Acting
Update #11: Playable Sample for $35 and up
I just sent out the short playable sample to the emails given to me by all $35 and up pledgers! So check your inboxes!
Let me know if you didn't get it!
Update #10: Backer Special Gift #7
Update #9: Resonance officially submitted to IGF
I want to thank everyone who has pledged so far (only 34 hours to go if you haven't!) for helping me get this far!
After months of tireless work, sleeping less than 5 hours each night, slaving away over code, the IGF submission portion of Resonance is officially complete. I wouldn't have been able to do it without the boost of motivation that I received from the unexpected level of support from all of you! Not to mention the knowledge that I'm going to soon have an infusion of development capital, so I was able to splurge a bit these last couple months to get some extra art/sound assets into the game!
The game thus far is really impressive, if I do say so myself (and I do) and I really do owe it all to you guys!
So, when the Kickstarter period closes in a day and a half, I'm looking forward to getting everything ready to send out the playable sample to the 13 of you who have pledged $35 or more to hear your feedback. I'm also looking forward to ordering the half-dozen posters to send out!
But the thing that I'm most looking forward to is on that eventual day in the future, when the game is 100% done, sending 43 of you your free copies of the full, finished game! It's going to be an awesome feeling, and you can all know that you played a part in making it happen.
Thank you so much! One final gift will be given this weekend, so look forward to seeing a sweet video put together for the IGF submission showcasing the game's many strengths! (For backers' eyes only, of course!)

I'm glad to see the positive impact this campaign had on the development team. It'll be exciting to know that it affected the game for the well somehow!
Vincent, it's us who are grateful for your continued development of high quality games, both free and commercial. Keep up the great work!

Update #8: Backer Special Gift #6
Update #7: Backer Special Gift #5
Update #6: Backer Special Gift #4
Update #5: IGF update!
Another week flies by in the development of Resonance! The pieces are all falling into place.
Right now, the entire IGF entrance portion of the game is done and playable all the way through. The last couple days, I've been squashing some bugs and adding polish. There's a lot more polish to be applied though.
My next step for this week is to go through and add text to all the logical, but incorrect things that the player might try. For example, trying a key on a door that the key doesn't unlock shouldn't give the default "I can't use this here" response. It should say something more specialized or maybe even show an animation of the character trying the key on the door.
Then, I need to add all the text for the game's character-to-character hints. These are found in the game when the player has more than one characters in the playable party and directs one of them to ask another if they have any bright ideas. This results in a short dialog that can hopefully nudge stuck players in the right direction.
Beyond that, depending on time, I'd like to add in the tutorial text, and maybe decorate the save/load guis which are still barebones at this time.
But things are definitely looking pretty good right now for the IGF. I don't know what kind of odds a fairly traditional point-and-click with a few gameplay twists has in a very innovative festival, but it'll be a good experience just to get it out there, and certainly serves as a great motivator for work.
This Kickstarter page, which was recently linked to on the front page of the IGF site (!), serves as two very special reminders for me. Firstly, there's a countdown, which besides being a countdown to the end of this fundraiser, counts down to the IGF deadline. And secondly, there's the reminder of how many people are excited about this game. I hope to make it special for all of you!
