Update #7: A Big Thanks!
I just wanted to write a quick note and thank everybody for your pledges. We didn't meet the goal so the project won't be funded, but I really appreciate all of the support and letters of encouragement I received. I've redoubled my efforts to find and agent and publisher and get this book out into the world.

Update #6: 40 Days Left
We've got 40 days left, and we're almost halfway there. A big thank you to everybody who has been spreading the word. If you have a blog, or are on Facebook, please continue to tell your friends!
Also, if you know any schools in the Salt Lake area that might be interested in an author visit, I'm trying to put together a few school visits. I've found that is a great way to get the message out.

Update #5: The Editing Process
Hi, all. We're making some good progress. Thank you again for your support. If you know anybody else who has enjoyed my books, please let them know about this site. If we don't reach our goal, then the project doesn't get funded!
I am currently editing the book one last time before I send it off to my editor. She will make sure the book is in top condition before we send it to the printer. I'm hoping to have it done so that as soon as we hit the goal I can get the printing started. This way you'll get your book as soon as possible.
Thanks again for your support, and please send your friends to the site. You can also send them here, so they can read the first chapter.

Hey, we're the project of the day! Kickstarter has us on their front page.
Thanks to all the new backers. Just as a reminder, the second chapter is up. You can find it in the project updates reserved only for backers.
We're nearing 25% of the goal. I really appreciate all your support. If you know anybody who has read my other two books, please let them know about this project. It will be the only way they will be able to get a book for at least a year's time.
I'm continuing to make final edits. I'll keep you posted.

Pledge $1 or more
Anyone who donates $1 or more will receive chapter two of Almost Super. The brothers' superpowers are revealed, only...don't tell anybody; it's a secret!
Pledge $15 or more
A donation of $15 gets you a signed and numbered copy of the book. The book will have a soft cover and be roughly 280 pages. Those who donate $15 will also get a pdf copy of the book.
Pledge $25 or more
A donation of $25 gets you two signed and numbered copies of the book. One for you, and one for a friend. Think about it, Mother's Day is taken care of! You will also get a pdf copy of the book.
Pledge $50 or more
A donation of $50 gets you five signed and numbered copies of the book. Do you know any quintuplets? This is the perfect gift! You will also get a pdf copy of the book.
Pledge $100 or more
A donataion of $100 gets you 10 signed and numbered copies of the book, AND you can name one minor character in the novel. There are many aunts, uncles, and cousins in this superhero family, and you can choose the name of one of them. This reward is best suited for managers of a baseball team. One for you, one for each member of the team. You will also get a pdf copy of the book.
Pledge $500 or more
Those who donate $500 will get 50 signed and numbered copies of the book. If you are the captain of a small army, your Christmas shopping is taken care of! In addition to the books, if you live within 500 miles of Salt Lake City, I will personally deliver them and give a 60 minute presentation on the topic of your choice. If I know nothing about the topic of your choice, I will lie through my teeth. This is the perfect activity for schools, community events, or protest rallies. As with the $100 donation, you may also name a minor character in the book. You will also receive a pdf copy of the book.
Pledge $1,000 or more
The first person to donate $1,000 will get the first book off the press. It will be numbered #1. They will also receive an additional 100 signed and numbered copies of the book. Not only can you read these books, but if you bench press them 20 times a day, you will be able to protect yourself from small children and medium sized dogs. In addition to the books, if you live within 500 miles of Salt Lake City, I will hand deliver the books, and do a presentation on the topic of your choice. If I know nothing about the topic, I will read a Wikipedia article on the topic so that I become an expert. As with the $100 and $500 donation, you may also name a minor character in the book. You will also receive a pdf version of the book.

I was very disappointed to see that Almost Super was not fully funded. As I'm finding out with my own project (Martin's Ghost), it's a long way from $0 to $5,000. I think you did a great job.
Best of luck with the publishing and any future projects. You're very talented. I'm really looking forward to buying a copy of Almost Super. Please let me know if you get it out there.
