Profile: Joel H Hinojosa, Film Editor
So here we are - the first day of our launch, trying to figure out what people will want to know about us. Why are we different or deserving of solid backing? Are we capable and creative? Can we really make killer guacamole? You know, all of the important questions.
What we decided to do is to make sure (especially over the first few days) that you get a look at specific samples of our work, show you a bit of what we have been doing these past few years so you can get to know us better.
We will also be highlighting some of the key filmmakers in our team and getting you bio information and interviews with them. First up is Joel H Hinojosa, he is our film editor but no question he does much much more than just that. A talented writer, composer, director, cinematographer, graphic artist and trouble-shooter, Joel has just about done it all and as one of the co-founders of Emerging Artist Productions he has a direct hand in shaping the quality of the content we create.
As a writer, Joel has written for broadcast tv, a couple different web series and a few sort films, although he is predominantly known for his brilliant work as an editor, most recently for the feature comedy, "Cheer Up, Sam".
A musician and performer in his own right, he shot and directed a short subject documentary a few years ago that played in a few film festivals including Slamdance (which goes on at the same time as Sundance in Park City, Utah), is playing on the Current TV site and features the talents of a coffee shop performer named Travis Bilenski. Currently Joel is zooming up and down the East Coast as a camera operator for 7-11's Road Trip Rally ( http://www.711roadtrip.com/ ), a web-based reality show where four contestants travel across the country to the Indy 500, with the only pit-stops being your friendly neighborhood 7-11. There are new episodes each day, so be sure to check them out. As soon as he gets back from the Road Trip he will sit down with us and give us an interview which we will post here on KickStarter.

A quick note about our plans for the 90 Day Feature Film. Static is currently being rewritten and once we have a finalized script we will be doing some casting. Well before that, we will be posting up a list of characters, so you can take a look at what we will be looking for...once those are up you can start submitting names of actors that you think might be good for certain roles.
Keep in mind, that throughout the process, you will have an active part in helping to get this film made so be sure to stay in touch - we hope to hear from you soon.
