As far as I'm concerned, you guys are all major patrons of the arts. It's this direct backing--on any and all levels--that has made it possible for me to finish "The Blue Dress." Everybody here has built a new and unique Irish flute CD; and I'm grateful and humbled by the show of support. My deep thanks.

I'm pretending I'm a minor patron of the arts today :-) It reminds me of that old Shake N Bake commercial? The one where the little girl exclaims "And I Helped!"

I'm guessing that many of us supporters enjoyed the kickstarter process almost as much as you did. Felt like a treasure hunt--watching the tally as it crept toward the goal. And it was great craic to connect with friends (and wrack my brain to think of other potential supporters) to point them toward this project and then watch their names pop up as backers. What a great way to build a community of interest!

I'm attending Celtic College in Goderich next month and will be taking classes from both you and your husband. I found this while looking you guys up on the internet. What a brilliant idea! I hope you meet your goal and look forward to meeting you in person.

Enjoyed your concert at the Skye last night and in Rangeley the night before. Already having the 4 CD's you and Matt have done together, I thought this would be a great way to thank you for magic you brought to Maine this week.

Silly question time. The $15 pledge comes with a digital download. Do the other, higher amounts come with a dd as well?

      Shannon!

What a great idea! I will see you at Goderich and congratulate you at that time for success in raising the required funds for the BLUE DRESS ALBUM. Now, if you auction off the actual dress as a kicker to this effort I am sure you could raise even MORE money:)

Kickstarter is a great example of Pt0P financing and very interesting from the perspective of arts related entrepreneurship, which I like to teach in my business classes. So that is what I will want to ask about in August!

I am also interested because my son is at the Kansas City Art Institute and raising money for his ART FARM project http://artfarmdelasalle.wordpress.com/. Kickstarter might be a very good option for him!

      THanks for sharing!

Irish flute player/singer Shannon Heaton brings exquisite skill, heart, and sass to the music she writes and performs. Irish American News dubbed her 2009 Female Musician of the Year, and LiveIreland named her latest album with husband Matt Heaton “Trad Fusion Album of 2010.” Fresh, fun, fabulous.
