Update #40: Album art on the way
I met today with Monty, the comic illustrator who created Border City. http://welcometobordercity.com/ As you can see on that site, his drawings lean towards the dark and ominous yet are still vibrant and full of energy. I felt his style would be a great match for the Electronola cover art.
We discussed just vague general concepts for the cover - mostly that I need something that simultaneously represents old New Orleans and new technology. I can't wait to see what he comes up with. I'll post more updates as this develops.

I sculpt data that scrambles electrons that excite magnets that move speakers that ripple the air that tickles your eardrum that tantalizes your brain that shakes your bum. Simply put, I'm a music producer and recording engineer. I work with some of New Orleans' favorite acts, most notably the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
Among the better known performers I've recorded are Tom Waits, Pete Seeger, Lenny Kravitz, Del McCoury, Jim James, Paolo Nutini, Mos Def, and Buddy Miller.
In the electronic music world I've worked with King Britt, Pretty Lights, and I mixed several tracks on the upcoming JJ Doom (Jneiro Jarel & MF Doom) release.
In addition to my studio engineering, I produce and perform electronic music as The Madd Wikkid, and have been known to play piano/keyboards around New Orleans and Japan. I also sometimes tour as a live sound engineer.
Awesome! I'm looking forward to check out the finalized artwork!
