I am an author, screnwriter, & play write in the process of trying to produce my first Production under my own production company. Masquerade Productions is a minority based Production Company that is dedicated to creating, cultivating, and producing live theatre, television, and independent film projects. Currently we are trying to raise funds to begin work on two very special projects. Drama&Music: A dramatic LGBT focused Television series has 5 completed episodes that are ready for production.
"Drama&Music" is an hour long dramatic series about Symphony Alexander: a openly black gay freelance journalist who has boldly launched his own internet magazine: Drama.com is an entertainment, music, and Fashion magazine, a mixture of all the things that Symphony loves and greatly appreciates. Symphony along with the aid of his diverse staff of talented writers, bloggers, and photographers have built Drama.com into one of the most successful Web Magazines on the internet and now Symphony is ready to take his dream to the next level, by launching a full print version of Drama. But when a rival magazine emerges Symphony not only has to fight to stay relevant in the publishing world, thwart a looming hostile takeover, but he will have to fight to maintain his relationship , control of his insane staff and his own sanity as an ex lover threatens to snatch his dream right from under him.
Drama&Music is will chronicle the drama of Symphony Alexander (The Journalist), Renee Baptist (The Dancer) Dupree (the Photographer), Protégée ( The Rapper), Mogul (The Music Producer), and Sharee, as they maneuver through business, betrayal, deception , love, heartache, and ambition in the world of big business, entertainment, fame and fortune.
This film project is set to start production in winter of 2012, and this is the first screen play by Rafael Solece and the first production by Masquerade Productions. My production budget is very small and fund raising goal is $5,000.00 in order to begin production in the winter of 2012. We are working with a very low budget, but the goal is to be able to use these funds towards production equipment, casting, filming, Producing, and marketing. Your funds will be used specifically for that purpose and my company Masquerade Productions ultimate goal of securing backing or interest from a major/minor television/cable networks to produce the first season. If we go over our goal of $5,000.00 GREAT! That will allow us to buy more filming, sound, and editing equipment, and expand our marketing. In turn giving Masquerade the extra we need to produce a bigger and better film/stage production for you.
Masquerade Productions is an Independent film company geared toward helping urban film producers, screen writers, and actors realize their dreams of producing their own projects. By donating to this particular project you are not only helping to procure this film but you are donating to future film makers and screen writers in the process because all the proceeds from this project will go back into the company and be recycled to help film, produce and distribute the work of another independent film maker. There by giving them the chance to compete in the film industry.
